Not if Nader et al has anything to say about it...

“We need to put strong Democratic pressure on President Obama in the name of poor and working people” said Cornel West, author and professor at Princeton University who has been highly critical of Mr. Obama’s tenure since helping him get elected in 2008. “His administration has tilted too much toward Wall Street, we need policies that empower Main Street.”

Ron Paul polls VERY well against him.
except Ron Paul will never win the Republican nomination and if he runs as an independant he has no chance...

Although I heard he won a straw poll in California... They didn't let candidates buy votes in that one did they? I hope not.

Buy votes? No. It's a bit different than Ames (it's not a circus). I was pleasantly surprised to see him win...and by the margin between him and 2nd place finisher Perry.

Imo, he should declare independent here shortly. He has finally gotten his name out en masse and he should publicly rebuke damn near the entire fucking system.
Ron Paul's best shot is to sound conservative now. Then when he gets the nominee, should move to the center to try and appeal to independent voters.

paul has no chance to move to the center, and there are plenty of soundbytes that pin him as simply playing politics if he even tries to do something like that, which he won't. it is a non-issue anyway, since he won't get the nod.

obama has been governing in the center for a long time now. it should be interesting to see how the main contest goes.

You're probably right. Except for the Obama governing from the center part. But I guess thats more of an opinion than a fact.

compare him to nixon or reagan or eisenhower. he's governing pretty much in the center, unless you happen to be one of those people shouting about how passing heritage foundation ideas is socialism.

The day the heritage foundation endorses Obama, I will vote for him.

And Reagan was a centrist by the way. He gave amnesty to 2 million illegals as well as spend a lot of money. One of the reasons why Ron Paul had issues with Ron Reg.

Paul wrote, “There is no credibility left for the Republican Party as a force to reduce the size of government. That is the message of the Reagan years.”

oh dear.... the heritage foundation never endorsed obama. obama endorsed a heritage foundation idea, individually mandated health coverage for all americans.....

i know legalese is a bit complex, but since you know so much, and since your IQ is so high that you must refer to everybody else as ignorant, I'll refer you to the following. It's called Senate Bill 1743, proposed in 1993 by Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Charles Grassley (R-IA), Robert Bennett (R-UT), and Christopher Bond (R-MO). 3 Republicans were the first to submit a piece of legislation containing individually mandated health coverage. It was drafted with the help of the people from the Heritage Foundation.

it's a short one. 197 pgs. enjoy.
