CannaChameleon, I don't recommend you do this ... but the idea tickled my funny bone. There's a German TV program about cars called "GRIP Das Automagazin" that I found on the 'Tube, and one episode was about Car Pranks. The nastiest and yet funniest one involved dumping a quart of turned milk into the car's heater/AC air intake. The ... smell! It got quite bad.
Trouble is ... it effectively trashes the car.
The other prank I'm remembering involved placing all manner of bug larvae in a brood bag under the seat. One day, the car was full of a thousand flies, beetles etc.

They also poured grass seed into the carpeting (footwells, hatch area), poured water on that, and a week later "putting green". Alfalfa seeds (like for sprouts, from a health shop) should be ideal. Seems like a good prank for a hydro hobbyist to perpetrate ... cn

I went to a pretty strict school, got suspended for 2 weeks because I photoshopped (probs the wrong word condiering I think it was on paint 98 or something like that) a picture of this kid (Id obviously had a falling out with) onto a threesome scene, involving two big black guys if i remember correctly. I thought it was funny at the time (in a crude way) but when it eventually circulated to teachers at the school I knew i was fucked lol - as i said, still a little traumatised, it wasnt the good kind of suspention either, it was an 'in-school' suspention

aww man in-school suspensions are the worst! it's almost like solitary confinement for high schoolers.

While on the car note, a less destructive thing ive seen happen to a few people is where someone has taken one of those miniature wraps of butter you get at hotels, partly unwrapped it and hooked it under a windscreen wiper, most of the time they dont notice it or try and wipe it away, resulting in a really hard to remove, greasy smear all over the windscreen

You're knocking memories loose here ... one thing our brave German car-show hosts tried was putting some motor oil into the windshield washer ... and they then proclaimed it a huge no-no. The oil plus rain formed an opaque goop that made driving really dangerous.

So I was wondering what might go in the windshield washer reservoir that would create an "intermediate" effect.
A pack of ketchup? Hmmm...
Some chicken broth? After a month, the windshield washer res would look like some twisted primitive aquarium, eeww.
Then I hit upon it.
A bottle of the nastiest cheapest perfume available. a(Since we're talking about women here ... the cheeziest men's cologne ... ) In the windshield washer fluid. The car will stink like an Albanian whorehouse after that first spray&wipe. And not too damaging ... cn

I agree that if i had a legal guarantee that just the threat of court action would resolve this, or that it maybe wouldnt have occured at all. It is a moral obligation rather than a legal one, your right but it is exactly at times like these that a more creative solution is required. I doubt I will ever find myself in a situation like that again, but if i do encounter something similar i will know to have it stitched up beforehand.

The point being you are now having to resort to a more creative solution because you cocked up. When i make a mistake, i don't take it out on others regardles of what has happened. It was my mistake. It's called being responsible.

I only cocked up by taking them at face value... I cocked up in the same way as if i had been at an airport and needed a piss, I ask if I can leave my luggage with a reponsible looking gentleman working at a perfume stand... come out from the toilets and the stand is gone, along with my luggage. Im not saying it wasnt daft leaving my luggage with the guy, but it still wont stop me chasing the guy down to get the luggage back... in fact this situation is more like me forgetting the luggage all together but filling one of his tester bottles with cat piss. Would you not do something to get your own back in whatever minor way you feel necessary? If you wouldnt, then your going to be stepped on by people your entire life, even people you know well will realise that your not capable of retaliation and will test you, going one step further each time, ruining a friendship and ultimately making you feel shit. Its all about balance and youve got to think of the long game sometimes tip top.

your on a roll here man, it hadnt occured to me that they might not clear their windscreen until theyre already on the road... imagine getting on the motorway, going to clear the bugs off your windscreen and BAM... blind as a bat. Im not sure I could live with that on my conscience, especially not over £25 lol. I do like this perfume idea tho, equally a fish head hidden in the engine bay would be nice At school once, someone put a fish of some sort behind a radiator, it took them weeks to find it and the whole school smelled like rotting fish.

I'd only be getting stepped on by people if i was making these stupid mistakes in the first place. I have made some mistakes in life, i have learnt and changed accordingly, as such i don't get stepped on too frequently I think about the long term, i think "hey, i'm not going to be living in this house anymore, why on earth am i leaving all the bills in my own name without any form of guarantee i'll be paid"

I think ahead so as not to get in the situations where i have to retaliate against a good friend

I just recently opened a FB account just to afflict my revenge on someone....sent a letter a shared it with everyone they've ever known....then I deleted my account because I hate social networks and people in general, except R.I.U.

CannaChameleon, revenge fantasies can be great fun, and they're part of the grieving process after having been done wrong. However Tip Top and others speak wisdom imo when they counsel "learn from it; never mind revenge; move on".
The moral: Revenge is simply never a good thing, especially delayed.
The practical: It's impossible to make the revenge fit the wrong. Acts of revenge take on a life of their own ... usually to the grief and detriment of the avenger.
You exposed yourself to a classic situation in which trust gets or got abused. You learned to not trust these women again/any more. Imo talk about principle, not getting stepped on, is really not to point. How will an act of revenge now enhance the only thing that matters ... your own experience, wisdom, lesson learned ,... your future actions?
Yes, it's fun to think about all manner of clever, inventive ways to prepare difficulty andor embarrassment for those petty little cheats. But there is a big moral boundary between a bit of cathartic talk and ... actually doing something.

some of these responses are pretty funny. seriously though, any prank shit you do to them will not end well. it will be funny for a few days until you realize that THEY actually do have faith in the justice system.

if it was me i'd take them to small claims, but i'm a person who legit filed a claim over a pair of socks on pure principle (no fists, it was a good friend. got the fucker to buy me a new pair though, no court. it was a fucking 12 dollar pair of socks. cost me 15 to file the claim but i still feel like i won lol).

to me, principle is everything. just the facts that it will go on record that they are slimy cunts and you'll get your money should be all the motivation you need.

Im not a mean person and anything i do do will be light hearted I assure you. Im an economist at heart and we try and analyse behaviour using incentives... If you know that your actions will have no repercussions, even if you make a bad decision (non-payment in this case) in favour of personal gains, then you will make that decision every time. It then becomes acceptable to repeat that behaviour until sanctions are brought. something relatively minor will break the cycle. *I got rid of another analogy here, hope you appreciate it*
I would like to think that all my actions, not just the ones enforced by a contract will have consequences.
I appreciate what your trying to say, and im sure we could argue all night about whether its justified or not, I do know that if you knew the girls Im talking about then your would think differently, Im not advocating anything too radical, a small prank at their expense will effectively cancel out the gain they made at my expense and prevent them reoffending.

reverse psychology! send them all an email explaining how its ok and you will pay the money, even tho they agreed in full that they would pay, then say something like : "I am just in a really hard position and now i can not pay for food for the rest of the month" or "my mother really needed some help financially but i couldnt because i had to pay the rest of the bill" or "its fine, but i couldnt make the full payment right away so now my credit has gone to shit and i can't purchase the car that i wanted" make them start feeling bad and guilty for what they have done, thats the best revenge.

I appreciate it guys, I would be tempted to agree that it is difficult to exact revenge in equal measure to the initial thing inflicted. Im sure you have my best interests at heart and i should probably heade your advice. It is very frustrating not being able to talk sense into these people, I guess ive been looking for a way of showing them theyve done wrong but thats easier said than done. I still think its in everyones best interest to bring closure to this situation and i will attempt to resolve it in one way or another.
