And for the record, the guy that said MAKE SURE got some wack advice too. I never, ever woulda called that male -- his pic is too shitty to tell for sure. You took great pics, it was an easy call.

Dude, I have no issues with you whatsoever. As I said before, I seriously appreciate you taking the time to help me out. When these last few guys started to post I had made my mind up already that I would give it a couple days. I don't see the harm as these flowers, whether male or female are only 4 days old, will not release pollen for another 7-10 days. You are all right in my book man, and I hope they are female of course, but you could very well be right. I am just going to give it a little more time before making a decision I can't take back. It will be a female.. I had 2 times experience like this. I cant explain very well because my english not well, but this plant's ball look like my plant's ball which opened and showed its pistil.
Look everyone this is my plant, which had a ball like HonestJim's plant. But look now it is a female..

But you didn't though. When a male flower reveals itself, it no longer appears like a female. Until you see the pistil or a well defined male preflower it's anybody's guess -- and this is what you saw.
If you look at HonestJim's pics, picture #3 the preflower front and to the right -- see how it is clearly up on the stick? That's the tell right there. The calyxes don't get up like that, they are affixed more closely to the node.
Male preflowers also have a "4-sided" appearance, even though you would describe them as balls they have these vertical seams that are very telling as well. You can see this pretty clearly in Jim's pic #3, front left (front right to a lesser degree).
Given only the other 3 of HonestJim's pics I would not be prepared to comment on sex with any certainty at all. Pic #3 is where it's at. Good pics Jim, even way better than that demo pic that was posted on page 1.

I'm still on the fence. I think there's a good chance it's a dude, but I haven't seen a single sign of maledom in any of my feminized DP White Widow seeds.....ever. I don't want you to think that I think it's a female, I think there's a chance it could go either way. I attached some pics from my first DP White Widow grow, my second was a SCROG...boring.

I want to make it clear that I don't think you are giving me bad info, you said wait and see, which was already the plan as evidence of my previous post. If in two or three days WDB is proven to be right then so be it, I will get rid of the plant. I just don't want to do anything rash and not be able to take it back. As far as your buds, fucking sweet. I can only hope mine turn out that way. Thanks again for the feedback.

seriously dude im calling male. i could be wrong but the difference is this. all those saying it could be a female are looking at the ball and saying my hairs sprouted from a ball too. YES! of course they did they always do. BUT!!!!! calyxes dont have a little stem at the bottom of them and there like a smoothish ball that splits to reveal hairs. male flowers are raised a little like yours on a stem AND they dont form in clusters straight away the first ones will all be singles. like calyxes. u dont see clusters of calyxes (buds) straight away u just see the one. same with males. best of luck and even if it is hermie sometimes u just get the 1 or two then she shows all females from there so by all means hang on to it until u know for sure. but if i had to say i would say male/hermie. being fem'd makes me feel like im gonna look like an idiot here but i see what i see

Well, my lights came on. I'm beyond that stage now. Nothing left to see there that looks like yours. I'm guessing I flew past that 4 or 5 days ago. 100% females for me again with no signs of dudeage anywhere. There really should be a zero percent chance of getting a straight up male, but the universe is a strange thing...

Like a skunk pissed in your face. The carbon filter works pretty well so I don't get overwhelmed with smells, but when you open the tent it smells like a skunk pissed in their for sure.

if they are fem'd seeds and u get a straight up male u should get your money back however it is extremely unlikely. a hermie however could be on the cards. time will tell i really do hope for your sakes we are wrong my plants just showing sex now but still too small to tell. i would be devastated if she was a hermie

Ok, so I examined the fuck out of this plant and I am convinced it's a male, so convinced the plant is in the garbage. There were clusters of balls forming under the original balls. Thanks to everyone that shared this painful experience with me, I'm fuckking sad now so I am going to go sit with my Female plants for a while.
