anyway my 12 year old little brothers friends who are like 14 flagged down me and my buddies as we were driving past. thinking they needed help we pulled over. one kid says 'yo mikey, you wanna buy a 10 bag of some hydro? it was a 20 sack but we smoked less than half of it and are so ripped we would rather get 10 bucks back' figuring i could possibly get .7 of some dank for 10, i asked to look at it. it was like a .3 of the brownest dirtiest mex herb ive ever seen. i said no thanks as we quickly drove off lol

One thing that bugs me though- referring to weed as schwag, mids, reg, dro etc. We've already discussed the term 'dro' being bandied about and misapplied to good weed. How do you standardize schwag and headies or whatever? I can't stand it when a dealer tells me ' Um, It's bomb mids and (therefore) x price.' No, I want to know what the fuck the strain is, who you got it from and describe it. I will make up my own mind whether I think it is 'headies' or whatever. If the only words I hear are 'dank' or 'green' then forget that. I like to know what I'm paying for (or intending to grab bagseed from)

People see me smoking in the street and come up to me saying they've got 'some dro', assuming I don't know what I'm smoking or talking about. A few minutes in, it's apparent they don't know or smoke all that much and just like using drug slang.

Actually, overuse of drug slang also pisses me off.

used tto kno this dealer that used to sell to my apt complex. and one time these kids came to him for some shwag (dime bag) but he never had any. and on the phone over they mentioned it was there first time. so ma dude crushed up green tea a lil trim and some stems and put it in a bag , when they came over and got it (they were so exited) , few days later he saw em and , he thought it be odd . but they came up to him like . WOW that was the best shit eva.. i think am still high and all this. ... lolz i thought it was funny and it demonstrates the plasibo effect flawlessly hahaha , i felt kinda bad tho. for them ... just a lil mostly it was funny

Where I grew up (poor side of a rich suburb) there was a fairly reasonable standard system in play that didn't seem TOO ignorant... and it accomodates that "bomb mids" comment fairly well.

Nowadays, it's all headies all the time for me, so I always expect strain info or at least a good inspection beforehand.

However, it used to be like this: Schwag/Brick for lowest quality... mids would be second tier... usually almost KB quality, maybe less trichomes, and sometimes with seeds--often intentionally sought if one's looking for some good bagseed... then we had "KB" (kind bud) which was basically a good smoke but poorly cured and usually too wet (people called it "dank" because they liked it kind of wet... go figure.) and then there was Headies, which is anything truly high quality. I'd always ask for a strain name if they called it headies. if they didn't know or were making some shit up, that's really just some high end KB.

KB had a standard going rate of 40/8th. Headies 60/8th. Mids were more variant but usually about 30/8th. Schwag was less but I never bought that crap. KB was our standard purchase for it had the ideal ratio of "gets you real high but didn't make you too broke"...

So like... "bomb mids" would mean mids, but bordering on being KB. I'd expect to pay no more than 35 for something matching that description, because if it goes up any more than that they better be calling it KB. It could be KB with some seeds, basically, but that's still mids because KB was sensi as a standard rule.

I'm happy to be past all that bullshit though... nowadays if I'm buying it's always "headies" and I always expect a strain name at the very least. Still... the system worked very well for us at the time, and allowed pretty sound communication between buyers and sellers.

But as I started smoking alone more, and could afford to burn more, I got used to rollin' my own... I FINALLY started to get a grip on how to get that first edge tucked in... that was the key right there... lol. (rollin newb)
