Damnit, ive typed this 3 times and keep forgetting to post...

think im going to chop the 5 DWC plants. Well, take clones from them. The gnats are not going away. Minimal growth over the past 2 months of Veg. I think Ill take everything from them, which will be about 8-10 clones total.

The 5 Platinum Kush and 1 Headband in soil are doing really well. I put the SCROG over them and its about 50% filled.

Id post some new pics, but I lost the camera cable. Damnit!

Anyone have some input? I think next time I will keep it either all hydro or all soil.

I'm dealing with a couple of sick girls, and it's really hard to get them to bounce back.
All mine are looking fine, well, minue the bits of nute burn. Its the gnats that are being a pain in the ass and making the roots look like shit.

Just gave them a strong h202 bath and re-filled the rez's with some nutes. ill give them another week and see what happens.

Ill be taking clones from the 5 Platinum Kush's and 1 Headband in soil tomorrow or Tuesday. I just finished painting the clone box flat white so I want to let everything air out some.

I would take the clones, put them in a location away from the gnats and do some cleaning with some bleach water. I'd give it like 2 weeks before moving back into your grow spot, so if any gnats did survive they have time to die off.

Some times it does make sense to just start over. Good luck.

Dude if you are fighting a gnat problem you need to look into Predatory nematodes, I ordered them and they helped and most novice growers would call my infestation pretty serious. They are just a microscopic ringworm that eats the gnat larvae. Look into them dude a lot cheaper and better than chemicals. Oh yeah and you can use the yellow stick traps and some Fox Farms Dont bug me spray for the adults. Also keep your dog out of your grow room. Dogs get critters in thier fur and shit like that so keep the dog out spidermites/gnats love gardens so even though you think your dog is clean a stupid bug or two could jump on him/her while you are out walking your dog and then BAM! They find a new home in your garden and fuck shit up for you.

Here is a link for predatory bugs that will help your garden. I used Azamax and gnatrol only to see them come back. I still use Azamax to pretreat all my clones I dont care if Jesus Christ himself gave me clones I learned my lesson with gnats and dont want to be doing that anymore.

What Ray says is a good idea however if you want to keep your plants and battle though look into some Dr. Doom grenades and throw one or two in yoru garden they say you can use them all the way through bloom. When you do start over clean your grow room, bomb it with grenades and wipe the walls down with bleach. And pre treat your clones dude oh yeah keep those furry animals out of your garden.

Thanks for the info Ray and Beaver.

Im going to call around and see if anyone local has some of the nematodes. Sounds like a pretty simple and easy-to-use method of treating the gnats.

I was looking at the DWC plants, all the stems are purple. Will effect cutting and cloning them or am I safe to take cuttings from them? If it does, I will just put them all in 5 gallon sport coolers to separate the plants, then treat with the nematodes and hope for the best.

Good hydro shops and good nurseries will sell nematodes. That link I put is a good place to they put them in a sponge. Like 1 million for 20 bucks. These weeds are pretty amazing plants they can take a beating and still produce so I say yeah cut the clones and see what happens worst case scenario they dont root bu I'm sure you get some that do.

Did quite a bit over the last few days.

Flushed the coolers. cleaned them out. made new lids out of 1 piece of insulation board. i then took each plant and rinsed the roots under running water and got as much dead material and gnat crap out as i could. They were then put into the new lids. Each cooler was given ph'ed water and w/ sensizym.

I took 12 clones from all the dirt plants today for another . They are sitting in a closet upstairs under a a T8 shop light. I took the cuttings and put them in rockwool. Im going to take the best 2 of each strain and keep as mothers. The other 10 will go right into dirt pots and into a small closet for a short veg time.

I will be flipping to 12/12 tonight. I will be adding about 100ml more sensizym, 62ml of sensi bloom A + B, 90ml of voodoo juice, and 90ml bud candy. This is what Im getting off AN calculator.

Yeah, you have been busy !
Keep it clean and you should be fine.
My lids are 2 inch thick insulated styrofoam wrapped in aluminum foil tape NOT regular dut tape.
I wash them down with strong H2O2/H2O combo after each grow and reuse.
Been good 1.5yrs now.

i might wrap these. or maybe use the stock igloo cooler lids? i figure i can wrap it and it will be a tighter fit for the cooler anyway.

So I have been looking around for what to do next. I still have everything in the same setup. Just flipped into flower now.

I took 1 sponge of predatory nematodes and mixed it in a gallon of water, then added 1/2 gallon to each rez. I did this on Tuesday.

Also, I have been looking at Dutch Master Gold Zone, can anyone share some input on this stuff and using it along with what Im currently using? Really trying to find a good setup to keep these roots clean. I also do not want to kill off all the predatory nematodes. Suggestions?

You can use a microbe tea or something like Great White. I've heard Dutch Master is awesome but don't know myself.

someone posed the question to me, where did you get aquatic nematodes? I really didn't have an answer because I don't know that they are aquatic, I suppose they certainly are at least to a point, you put the sponge in water and ring it out, but I had no luck with this. I had no luck with anything when I got these nasty little bugs.
If it were to happen again I'd go straight for that shit with cedar oil in it.

I checked the rez today, holy brown slime!

So, Great White or Dutch Master Gold Zone = brown slime should be bye bye? I flushed half the rez today and put in some fresh water and adjusted the PH. Had to clean it up, it was FILTHY!

sounds like you should h2o2 with that flush and wait a few days to add bennies, that's what I'd do anyway.

which reminds, me, picked up a gallon of h2o2 at the hydro shop today, may as well use it. I use it on a regular basis in flower, I don't like keeping bennies they seem to shit up my res. In veg my temps sometime (not lately ) get out of range and I do use great white there.

Oh, also realized I haven't tried my R/O system at the new house. the old house didnt have enough pressure to power it. hopefully this house does!
