Why is it ok to Shower with other Guys and Sometimes not?

So after most sports it accepted that men can all get naked and pile into a shower together and maybe some of them dont even know each other(one of them could be a rapist)

But, I try to save hot water and slip into the shower with my room mate and somehow he has a problem with that? It's not like I'm going to fuck him or anything.

I know it sounds dumb, but really think about it. Oh and I'm not gay, though there is nothing wrong with someone being gay. But culture can be really weird sometimes.

chances are: you're sharing a one shower head bathroom, probably standing in a 2.5ftx5ft bathtub. So while your buddy is sudzing his cock and ass hogging the shower head, your standing there cold, staring at either his ass or balls (depending on what side hes washing). thats why is gay and not acceptable to straight men. Athletes share a whole room, with plenty of room and individual heads, and im almost certain these days they are sectioned off at the waist so you have your own stall like shower.

I love the idea of guys showering together. But I'm pretty queer like that. You aren't saving much water by making your roomie uncomfortable. I'd suggest you just stick to fantasizing about saving hot water, continue to ponder the homophobia in this culture, and leave it at that. ;)

what's gay is being stuffed in a 2x3 foot space with another grown man reaching over each other for the soap and no doubt rubbing up against each other in uncomfortable ways.

i don't care if you both wear a three piece suit, in that close of quarters it's highly suspect. it sounds uncomfortable on many levels.

In a hertero world, it's okay to shower in separate stalls. It gets creepy though, if you want to shower in the same stall at home.
