Right to Work

Try crossing a picket line, see how many co-workers will still give you the time of day
And if that isn't bad enough, being called a "scab" and spat on. With unions you're damned if you
do and damned if you don't. Collective bargaining?

How long must a person work to collect a measly pension only to have it taken away or
left in the poor house
because the fund collapsed or the government takes more than
their unfair share.
Well gee Mr. Downer
How many non union companys actually offer a Measly Pension these days?

This thread has completely gone down the line of partisan rhetoric.

The ends don't always justify the means. I want an argument that gives me a reason why I shouldn't vote for a workers right to chose.
No you dont you have disregarded any anti right to work argument
Cant you just be happy sucking right wing Koch?

If an employers employee produces no value then he should be fired. If someone is fired they still collect unemployment unless they are fired for cause.

If you have so little worth as an employee that you need a union to hide behind then I can understand your POV.
They should have took you to the hospital after that drop on that head as a baby. Now I think it may be to damn late.

For Pete's sake stop sounding like a retard.. Did you even read the story ?
They were not fired because of lack of value nor for being unproductive. They got fired for wearing a orange shirt. In a RTW state this is perfectly legal. WTF...

Yes, and it should be.

If an employee is producing so little that the color of his shirt makes a difference then he should get fired. Maybe he was a whining PITA....

My point is that you have to provide VALUE to your employer to stay employed.

And you cant get that...

I'm sorry.. Not only does your response not make sense, but the only intelligible thing you said was ad hominem partisan rhetoric.

Synco do as you want. I gave my answer as to why you should not vote for it unless you own the company. Maybe you should think why you should

I am against right to work laws. Business owners should be able to run their business how they see fit. I work in construction, non-union. People who work their asses off get raises. I've seen over 20 people in the last year who have 0 common sense. They are a burden on the whole crew and they don't need to be there. They aren't working any longer, we'd go out of business. I feel I'm treated fairly if i wasn't I would take my services elsewhere. I'm not forced to work where I am at I choose that. My employer should have the right to chose who works for him.

Yes... Having a job is not a right....
spoken like a true right winger who now claims Independent ( Hell I would too after Bush).. In order for society to function properly that society better provide some jobs or you are going to have some serious problems on your hands. So I will leave that argument for you to have by yourself, but me as a business man would not ever want to live in a society with high uncontrolled unemployment.. Can't make money that way

please refer to post #75. I stated my stance..also please pay close attention to the part about "having that argument by yourself"
Well post 75 is fascinating but you didnt even come close to answering the question.

There is a vauge reference to *some* jobs but that doesnt address the issue I asked you directly.

Do you believe that YOU have a right to a job?

Do you feel that having a job is a right?
