Deemed by whom? And contradicting what? cnReverse discrimination...yes, she said reverse racism. A phrase coined to originally describe [affirmative] action as actually being racist in [its] attempts to give minorities opportunities [for which they] may not have qualified. Since then it has been deemed a contradictory slang term with no real meaning.
It would be no contest!!
If you really wanna fight me because you disagree with my comments on a forum on the internet then you really are pathetic. Where would you like to do this?Really? Then if it would be so easy maybe you should demonstrate just how easy it is. Or just be taken for the bullshit artist with an agenda that you are.
Deemed by quote a few race relations scholars. the term has been around for a LONG time but in the U.S. it became popular and took on a new meaning with the appearance of Affirmitive Action. Many people called AA reverse racism for 2 reasons; one being that it actually did nothing to help minorities because they were basically being given handouts (like welfare) and seconf because it was seen as actually descriminating against the "majority" because they were not being given the opportunity because of their race even though they may be more qualified. Cornell West wrote a book titled "Jews and Blacks: A Dialogue on Race, Religion, and Culture in America" which talks about the subject and the contradiction of the term. Also check out "The Myth of Black Progress" by Alphonso Pinkney. The term is no longer used in scholarly or social works because it has been deemed contradictory and useless.
I feel very confident is saying that I am better than you. You are just making my case for me.Now ya done with all your pecker waving " I'm better than any of you" antics yet? Care to explain how they mean jackshit as regards th topic?
I used to think the same way too. I didn't get into my heritage and literature till my last 2 years of undergrad. It was like a light popped on in my head. I do think a lot of it is just hot air but there are some really valid points and theories in the field.Thank you for the explanation. I do wonder about "race relations scholars" though. Ime "social anthropology" is a grin minus a cat. cn
