HELP! from an expert would be nice.

CFL's come in daylight spectrum and daylight is also available in HID. The main reason hps is chosen for budding is because the spectrum is more in line with bud production and not wanting so many roots and leaves. If the plant was veggin' properly there would be no reason to top it to force shoot growth. At one month the shoots should be almost as tall as the main stalk.

k thanks so i should prolly jus pick up like 3 or 4 more?
you have picked a Sativa Dominant strain which does need a lot of light, and even then will look stretched and can grow very tall
if you picked a strain like big bud you would need a less lights to get a get a acceptable result
big bud would veg up to 12" under 3ft t5 21w twin tube, it will take longer than a 250hps but still grow very well without the heat, and use less electric over all
the chances are you will need min 250w enviro light to get a good looking plant in veg to 12"

have you ever been swimming? water magnifies light which is why lighter skin tones burn more easily during a day of swimming. Now will his CFL burn the leaves with water droplets on it? prob not. but with a HPS or light of that magnitude it most certainly will.
show me some proof, i never said the water didnt magnify the light. i said it wont burn his plants HID or CFL or blazing hot sun. the water will evaporate before that happens end of story. but hey show me some proof and i will believe you untill then i will go with what the research studies i have read say.

bro first and foremost its just like grass, you dont water the grass until sun down or early morning. you will burn the grass.

second heres some proof. matter of fact you should try it. http://www.puyallup.wsu.edu/~linda%20chalker-scott/horticultural%20myths_files/Myths/Leaf%20scorch.pdf

and you did say just that. stop contradicting yourself please. . . "
  • misting will not burn your plants due to magnification of light through the water droplets, thats just some retarded rumor that has been spread like a bad STD around here.

did you even read this?

If your plants are
showing signs of water stress in the middle of the day, by all means you should water them! Postponing
irrigation until the evening (not a good time to water anyway, as this can encourage fungal pathogens)

This is one of those myths that refuses to die. Although most (but not all!) of the .edu web sites I checked
dispel this myth, hundreds of other domains on the web keep the misinformation alive.
There are many causes of leaf scorch, but irrigation with fresh water is certainly not one of them.
The Bottom Line
• Wet foliage is not susceptible to sunburn
i dont understand what point your trying to prove here

my point was that weed is like watering your grass, if their is water on the leaves during the hours of sun it will most certainly burn the leaves
and your wrong again here, it wont burn your grass, it even states that its not good for grass to water at dawn and your better off watering during the mid day heat than after the sun goes down.

and no I did not even read it, I just assumed it was speaking on my behalf because of the numbers that are. thank you for pointing that out though, as it has re aligned my game!
so you call me out saying i am contradicting myself and that i am wrong and when i tell you to furnish proof of you accusations you google it and link the first PDF file with the words PhD on them, not even reading the document. not trying to be a dick here as its not my style but you need to do accurate research before pointing the finger at people and accusing them of spreading mi information.

since were in the business of pointing things out

do you have a fan going? a PC fan blowing on them would be perfect. it will help strengthen the stem a bit and cause the plant to grow a little more bushy opposed to lanky. also (not right now) might want to look into LST if you need to keep them short and maybe make a ScROG screen since you lighting is still not ideal.

i already have a fan going on them and by not ideal you mean i should get more lights haha i got another so now i have 3 6500k

13w? if so then yes you should get some more lights, aim for 150 actual watts and dump the 13w CFL they are junk

the plant will grow, but a small investment now will more than pay itself off in the future. that is up to you.
