The US Constitution does not distinguish gays as a class (not group)of people, therefore no basis for discrimination, or a violation of the 5th amendment.
Double jeopardy has absolutely no relevancy to this discussion. LMAO
ok, tell that to yourself.

i could swear i am either conversing with a pair of brothers who are 10 and 12 years old, or this:

you just keep on dodging questions and saying that the equal protection clause is to protect the states, not the people in them, all while bragging about being a lawyer (who grows the shittiest weed i have ever seen).
Really!

Show me where I claimed the equal protection clause protects the states, I knew you had a comprehension deficiency.
Unclebuck, you are so typical of most big mouth progressives. Much like your buddy Obama, you're both in over your heads but can't stop talking.

to be fair, romney is not opposed to gays getting all those things, he just doesn't want gays to have the dignity of calling it actual marriage. even 'civil union' is too much. he thinks gays need to be relegated to second class citizen status instead.

are you married? no, we're domestically partnershipped.

Should adult men be able to marry more than one wife, should they be able to legally marry 10 yr old little girls and boys?

10 year old girls and boys can not consent, so no.

adults can consent, so yes, men should be able to marry more than one wife and women should be able to take more than one husband.

the real question is to you: should two consenting adults of the same sex be allowed to marry?

Are you fucking going there are you fucking saying that that gay marriage is tantamount to marrying children. YOU ARE A FUCKING BIGOT. NO BECAUSE TWO GAY PEOPLE FUCKING CONSENTING ADULTS. And to the first question have you been to utah or nevada polygamy is legal. I suggest stopping now to stop sounding more like a dumbass bigot. Whats next going to talk about bestiality. fucking bigot. Give me ONE ONE good reason gay marriage should not happen and how it will harm society.

Why do dip shits have to make this about the morality of gay marriage. It should be about gays going off on Obama being a bigot. He's already said his view is "evolving." Why can't you all have the guts to say fuck you Obama? His evolving means I'll stall until I need to use this as a wild card. He doesn't care about you, he wants you to suck his micro-penis Irish dick. Don't you see that grin on his face? That's the same shit eating grin psychopaths like serial killers have. I always wondered why neighbors always act so shocked. You don't even realize Obama is fucking you in the ass. This is the same guy who mocks you and says he can detain any American citizen indefinitely. I personally would like to pretend he doesn't exist, let alone he's my best friend.

How in the hell do you get protect out of the word refers?
Can you even understand a ballot when you go to vote, no wonder your ole lady goes to college and you stay home! LMFAO
when you say "refers to the equal rights" of the state, like you did at first, you imply that the state has rights, and by definition rights need to be protected. guaranteed, actually. certainly not voted upon by the majority.

i bet if we held a majority vote tomorrow, a fairly shocking amount of people that defend marriage inequality would vote to reinstate miscegeny laws.

anyhoo, you're as amusing as a dog eating spaghetti from a fork.

One minute your citing the 14th and 16th amendments of the constitution, the next minute your trashing the 10th amendment, I have a feeling you struggled to get your GED.

the tenth has its place, too. but states' rights do not give license to violate equal protection under the law.

lI was wrong, it was tolerated in utah.but you did just ask if gay marriage was ok then should pedophilia was ok. I have an education, one in biochemistry, and if I met you in person I would still call you a bigot. Well you either have to be a bigot or stupid to ask that. How does one go from gay marriage to pedophilia? Next your going to go to beastility. Maybe if you thought about your question for more then 2 seconds it would show you how stupid and bigotted it is, but that might be asking to much.

People do realise that marriage is older then states and religion. Marriage pretty much means the joining of two families. Gay marriage was around in acient times. So again what is the argument against it? This is a right men and woman have had for eons, no state has the right to dictate who gets to practice it.

I think you guys know where I stand on this, I am against marriage all together, its unfair to single people. I don't think anyone should be able to get married "officially" and get speicial privileges. I think everyone should be able to get married but ...I am against state institutionalized marriage completely.

as it is written above "no state has the right to dictate who gets to practice it." - yes unfortantely they do when they pay these people.....otherwise...No they don't....Gay people can get married anywhere in the U.S now..they just can't get the perks of an official state sponsored marriage and that is "the issue"... Are we going to be arguing for people marrying animals next? I think I will argue for that and marry my dog so I can get a tax break lmao...No..End the Insitution of Marriage outright or just legalize everything marriage.

Take the state out of marriage and problem solved for everyone.

That's a good point Deprave. If homosexuals are being discriminated against by not being able to receive the same benefits as married couples, then single people should be given the exact same consideration. That's just one flaw in the argument, no one has a right to equal benefits. The government specifically gives those benefits to married couples because it wants to promote propagation, the expansion of the population. More people = more revenue in their eyes.

So, according to Uncle Buck and others, Obama is a bigot, a scumbag and a conservative loon and doesn't understand the Constitution. He just affirmed his belief that the issue should be DECIDED at the state level. If it is as cut and dry as you state, and call me names for the exact same view as Obama, then why didn't he state the same argument you have? HMMM? Why is a Constitutional professor (lol) not saying it is a right and quote the 14th amendment? He is a Constitutional scholar after all, doesn't he know about equal protection under the law?

Squirm your way out of that one, dumbshit.

Wow again you miss the point by a mile try again. Single people can do that, by getting married see me point. Yet a gay service member is not able to get and get the same benefits. Yup no problem there, a person who serves our country is not able to visit their spouse in the hospital because others don't approve. Yup continue to close you eyes and pretend there is no problem. Yup don't blame Obama, didn't blame Bush, I blame the Americans who our stuck in the 1960s who refuse to believe that two people that love each other should be treated differently. Answer me this should they, simple yes or no?
