I'm sure there are dozens of guy's that will call me heroic.
Personally, I was just doing my job, & I was scared sh*tless the whole time!

Thanks for serving, Welcome Home. I heard alot of Viet Nam vets weren't welcomed home, you know, cause the anti-war movement, and instead were looked down upon...Dunno if this happened to you, but you're a hero for sure...So is anyone who serves and puts their life on the line to help others.

And this is coming from someone who vehemently dispises the military, but I recognize that things would be very different without the men and women who serve in the armed forces.

heroisum is only a thuoghtless moment away

but i give a big shout to all the mothers out there as mine whent trough a bad labour then had to deside whether to give birth naturally or go with a c section.

if she whent the c section i could have died but if she gave birth naturally there was a big chance she could have died but here i am and greatfully my mum is still with us

she whent for the natural birth

she is the hardest woman i have ever met shes 4foot 5" and at 67 still takes shit from no one not even me lol

Couldn't we just drop the bullshit and get this thread back on topic? Or is it too late, and destined to go into the forgotten-thread pile already?

Oh are we allowed to bring up labor in the man only thread? Cuz if we are i'm totally a hero. I had my youngest daughter naturally. Of course it wasn't to save her life, she just wouldn't wait for me to get the epidural. Doctors, I swear, they just don't friggin listen to you! I kept saying I was in labor and they kept telling me I wasn't. An hour, an HOUR, AN HOUR, from start to finish, and she was here. They should have listened to me. I said she was coming. (I know it doesn't seem like a long time, but having your cervix open from 0-10 centimeters in an hour, well...it might as well just have been torn open by hand.)

it's weird...the rush actually comes after...like coming down from an adrenaline high. in the moment it's just surreal i guess. no way to describe it.

The man (oops) only thing was in reference to the title of the thread. And I agree it was heroic of her, halfloaf. I wasn't intending any offense.
