To an extent... Personally, I stop reading your posts when the sentence reaches 200 words, or I hear you talking about your "niggahs" bringing "multiple aks" (BTW, since you were wondering, this is what makes you sound gangster and stupid LOL).

Posting in a forum is nothing like texting. Abbreviations beyond the universally recognized lol and wtf, etc., are not appropriate.
Thumb-text is inappropriate in a forum like this not because it makes one appear stupid. It is inappropriate because it is difficult to read.
To put a finer point on it: It's bad form. Rude, if you will.
Nobody is grading your posts; so you can stow the pissing and moaning.

I expect intellectual conversations and possibly proper grammer whenever I converse with individuals who are mentally capable. Why have you used punctuations and paragraphs in your response like so many others?
Those who decide to leave punctuation, spelling mistakes, bad grammar, and all sort's of non-words in their post make it hard for others to believe they are intelligent, right or wrong!
At 35 your still part of the younger generation, and the kids that hack together these websites are just that hacking together websites.

it's the posters choice if he wants to punctuate his sentences. you don't have to read his posts. and you surely don't have to make a 10 page thread out of it. who says it's an unwritten rule in forums? who says it's disrespectful not to? i don't care and seems like a few others didn't mind. i think it's even more ridiculous that this thread has gone on this long talking about one guys punctuation. lmao.

I am not in a position to judge anyone's personal life. The OP can harbor all of those traits for all I care.
I was referring to his writing style. Hemingway's writing was exquisite.
And your taste in authors is excellent. EH is not my very favorite, but he's definitely on the list.
The Sun Also Rises and For Whom the Bell Tolls are among my favorites.
