lol thx reggs sorry guys i just got busy and tired from working full time. i work 8 to 10 hours a day and then i come home and straight to the growroom for a hour or so, today it was 3 hours cleaning those bullshit ass systems i got in there. im soooooo ready to get away from them damn 18 gallon pails. im definately gonna build me a big rez on a table or go with a shitload of 5 gallon buckets but im weary of that because it would take forever to clean 25 5 gallon buckets and a pain in the ass at that. when i cleaned the rezs today i literally couldent get the plants out of the door of my room. extremely limited space because its not a square room, its just ugh, i gotta do something else.

Hey Trance, what temp do you have your water sitting at in the dwc? The dude at my local hydro shop said 23 deg celcius but im a tad worried about root rot...

i dont check temps man but im sure its around 70 degrees, i wouldent worry so much about that as to worrying about light leaking in the rez, organic matter in the rez, or not enough air in the rez. People love to hate on H2O2 but every single time i have the beginning stages of root rot i use it and within a few days it clears right up, i have had to use it 4 times this grow so you definately should pick some of that up. its a must in my opinion. if you are worried about temps though just check them and put some frozen bottles in there daily but like i said i dont worry about temps because liquid is normally between 5 to 10 degrees cooler than ambient room temperature if the liquid is in a sealed container IE the rez and my temps are normally at 73.

Only reason i ask is because i can lower the temp down to 68 far if i need to. Just really dont want to get root rot! Will just have to keep a close eye on my girls

ok so heres an update on my grow. i have some weird discoloration going on though. brownish rust looking spots developing all over some of my leafs and i dont know why. pics suck but first 4 are the pics of the leafs with rust looking spots and the rest are just pics of whats goin on in the room.

Hmm now i'm thinking i should lower it a bit. Is 68 the ultimate temp to have the res at? From what i read it seems 70-75 is the temps the bacteria seems to flourish at... Cheers for your help Trance

just a quick update guys i havent done one in a while so here we go. I have added a 600w hps to the room and im now at 66.46 watts per sq ft of growing space so thats very good, i had to make a diy cooltube because i have not the money to get a cool hood but it feels good to know that "i did that" everytime i go in there =) here is a pic of the cooltube i made followed by random pics taken just a minute or 2 ago

hey tranc, how things been going with you? I just got back in town and your room looks like its blowing up in that vid... sweet DIY cool tube you got there. as far as your temps can you mount your ballast outside the room or do you need them to be inside? that might lower your temps 1 or 2 degrees by itself..
and I agree fuck AN if they dont want to help then use what you got and move on..
