20 days huh? that does seem a little long but nothing to worry about yet. give them another 5-7 days before you start worrying. i wonder what the issue was. how did those plants work out for you that were late in showing sex? i remember you were worried about those?

i wasnt giving then enough nutes as soon as i upped it to 600ppm plus they started flowering. only problem is they got why too big. i know what i did wrong with the ez cloner but it couldnt really be avoided. i had 40 blubonic clones in there for a couple weeks without changing the water and for certain reasons i couldnt take the clones out yet to clean the system. so then i took a bunch of clones from secret recipe's in early flower while i find my mom and i couldnt clean the system before i put them in so there could of been alot of pathogens and bacteria and stuff in there which isnt good. a couple days ago i changed the water which is better but i still havent been able to clean it. i wish i just spent the money on some botanicare powerclone liquid from day 1 that shits amazing. its probably too late now since i got the RE in there. do you know of anything else i can add to the ez cloner to increase my chances of roots?

keeping the reservoir at 62-65 degrees will help a lot to avoid algae, slime, and other reservoir problems. beneficial bacteria and fungi will help a lot too. products like voodoo juice, great white, etc... are great for this.

i got some oregonism xl should i add that even though i got roots excel in there? i figured RE might have some of the same shit
 
i've never seen oregonism before. i can't comment on it. i know a lot of guys love roots excel but i've never tried it before. i think i'm gonna order some and try it out during cloning. see how i like it. i'm gonna be gone for a month so i'll be wrapping up the flower tent while i'm gone. gonna keep a few girls in veg that i'll cut right before i leave. then i have a guy who gonna watch them for me while i'm gone. then when i get back they will be ready to go into flower. should work out fine.

its voodoo, parahna, and tarantula in one, is that overkill? damn i totally forgot about my fuckin water chiller, im cleaning it as we speak. i should of been using it from day one knowing i cant clean the system for a while. fuck it better late that never even though its already day 20 lol

sounds like a pretty cool product. i'll check it out online and seee what it's all about.

here's some pics from tonight.

day 56 for these girls. ones in front are Amnesia Haze and the ones in back are Bubblegum. 1 Pure Power Plant on the right but that's the last of that strain for me. too leafy and i don't like the buds. that was the mom i was just flowering out. first close up is AH; usually around 65 day strain. second one is Bubblegum; around an 85 day strain.

these girls are on day 30. i vegged them a little longer than usual and transplanted to 7 gallon pots instead of 5 gallon ones. they really exploded when i switched to 12/12. the first closeup is Bubblegum again. it got huge. gonna be a monster cola. there is another one behind it in the first picture. the other 3 plants are Sour Diesel; usually around a 60 day strain. the last 3 pics are SD. been pushing the nutes a little heavier these last 2 crops. trying to test the limits.

scooby ive been thinking about this comment you posted and i just noticed on a couple of my plants that some of the bottom fan leaves are turning brownish and falling off. the only thing is its hard to figure out if the bottom leaves arent getting enough light or i gotta raise the nutes up i got some tall monsters. is there a certain ppm where i know 100% that the plants are getting enough nutes? werent you giving your plants 1700 ppm of connoisseur a little while ago? i just noticed that since my res is kind of depleted my ppm is at 1300 ppm. im gonna slowly raise the nutes up but it would be good to know a limit i should never go over. this strain is no joke it can take alot of nutes.

hey tree, i've run plants as high as 1800ppm and some as low as 1000ppm (500:1). It just all depends on the strain. I would think though that anything over 1000ppm and your plants are getting enough nutrients. maybe 1200ppm for you (i think i remember you using a 700:1 scale). i know lots of guys who grow great plants running a steady ppm all the way through flower. usually around 1000ppm. some guys do it so they don't have to run multiple reservoirs in a perpetual hydro grow.

hydro is nice cause your plants will almost tell you how much they are using based on the ppm of your reservoir. as your plants drink water over the course of the week and your reservoir goes down ideally the ppm should stay the same. if the ppm is going down then your plants are using up more nutes than water and could use a higher ppm. if your ppm is going up then your plants aren't using all of the ppm in the water and you can back off it. this is in "general" when using a hydro reservoir. there are some other reasons why reservoirs move but that is a good rule to stick to.

gotta love it when these guys come around just to try and start shit. they don't even grow plants but they hang out on an mj forum just get their rocks off. fucking hilarious.

LOL...he's just mad cause i proved him wrong about something like 6 months ago and he's still butthurt about it. he's been following me around ever since. he doesn't even grow. just one of those guys who gets jealous and hates on anyone who has accomplished something with their lives.

haters hate...i grow weed and go fishing :-P

that makes alot of sense. it gotta be just the bottom leaves arent getting enough light as i got plants over 4ft tall. im even on the 500 scale too and my ppm goes up as my res gets depleted. looks like homebrewer was wrong again saying that theres no need to ever go above 1.2 ec. not surprised he's wrong about alot a shit thanks once again scooby

so if your ppm is going up as the reservoir is getting depleted then that means your plants aren't using all of the nutrients and you can probably back off them. if they are real tall (4'+) then those bottom leaves will almost always yellow and die. especially in mid to late flower. the plant is concentrating on on bud production and lower branches will not get sufficient light to process nutrients. that's why i lollipop my plants.

sure, you can run your plants at 1.2 EC all the way through flower. that's 600-800ppm depending on your scale. but then you aren't getting the most out of your plants in my opinion. that's probably why most of HB's buds look small and really airy. i really can't imagine a plant not wanting at least 1000ppm in mid flower. if you can find the sweet spot for a strain then you'll get the most out of your plants. quality is the most important thing to me; but yield is up there as well. if you push your nutes correctly then both quality and yield will be maximized.
 
the thing that doesnt make sense though is remember when i had my ppm at 300 and the plants werent flowering? at that point the ppm was still going up when the res got depleted. seeing that i dont really use what the res is doing as my strategy to up or lower nutes anymore. i would love it if it really was that easy but it doesnt seem to be
 
i don't know what to tell you there tree. you know my thoughts on 300ppm plants...LOL. that just doesn't make sense to me so i really can't comment without being in your room for the grow.
 
I think it's pretty obvious who the real growers are.

It'd be funnier if it weren't also kind of sad how certain people actually believe that everyone they don't like is just multiple accounts of the same person. Yeah, 'cause it's not possible that there are just a lot of people who don't get along with you, since you're clearly such an awesome person. It couldn't possibly be a problem with the man in the mirror - oh no, perish the thought. Much more likely it's the rest of the world that's the problem...
