It ignited a discussion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes they are wrong and it warrants community discussion.

If someone has racist or prejudice views, and uses funds from a business to promote those views, then anyone with a conscience should not support that business.

For example, if Nike used black slave labor to make their products, and funneled their profits into programs that promote their racist beliefs and actively try to deny black people rights, wouldn't you stand up and say that isn't right? And that even though you are not black you cannot support their cause or recommend anyone else to either?

I see ur point and yes we should, but i'd be lying if I said I had. I try and not support places like u describe but it's hard when ur choices are limited. Gays? Im very active in the gay politics in my community. Race? Please... I have written numerous papers on race, and come from a family of Black Panthers. Get a job? I have a job, a job that I love that only requires that I work a few days a week for a few hours.. I support my family. So what stereotype is being perpetuated? I mean if gays want to be gay then fuck it, thats their business, I dont think anybody has the right to stop them. But, forcing ppls young children to be exposed to their lifestyle at young ages isnt right.

Well not society exactly, but a flawed legal system. If a guy has a felony, he cant get a job, and his family is hungry... what can he do? Sell some drugs to buy milk and diapers for his kid. Its a revolving cycle that wont stop until the racist legal system stops. Its funny that a white guy and a black guy can be charged with the exact same crime, but the black guy will almost always recieve the harshest punishment. The statistics prove it.

My kids know that some people are gay, and some aren't...We don't really talk about it more than that..but we have a lot of family friends that are gay so they can't miss it.
My oldest son cornered one of my really good gay friends and gave him a rapid fire session of hard to answer questions all about what it is to be gay, and how you know you are gay...My children have learned it is just the way some people are...

I dont have anything against gays. If I did I would probably lose a lot of money considering 40% of my business comes from homosexuals. Like I said 1000 times before, they deserve human respect at the least. Everybody makes poor choices in life, its not fair that one group of generally nice and very fashion sensible people should be singled out.
