Thanks for the reply Gardenknowm, I know, i know . lol But it bothers me when its so dark beneath the canopy, I mean you see my plant in those pics, it is like a sea of green with one plant, and there is new growth that is not recieveing light....is this ok?

hey guys...here are my pics.

first time i'm posting pics here some bare with me.

anyway...i just wanted the newbies to see the errors of my ways. The leaves that have the spots are due to me not checking ph levels..it was at 3 - 4...and then i used exactly 1 tbl per one gallon like chart from foxfarm and it got TOOO high...about a 7-8ph level. thats why its important to measure.

once everything was measured...another pic was to show you the different sizes of the stem of when the measurement was wrong and when it was correct. thicker when it was right.

the other pics i'm hoping to get input on is that there are some silver/clear dry layer covering on the bottom stem. Not sure what it is and i'm noticing white spots on the stem below the covering of the pod. something to worry about.


btw this is week 3 pics...at the end of this week it will be flowering time.

be sure to have a small fan blowing on them all the time which will ensure stronger stems and keep them standing, this shoudl be done from the start, also how are you measuring the ph. mine always seems to go up not down, and only have to adjust up if I add to much ph down, but I have that pretty much worked out. but it seem your plants are not standing up at attention...hope this helps ya...

its not standing up at attention because its bending toward the light. I tried turning the pods itself however the plant always bend toward the light. My leaves are sagging... What could cause this? Could it be the pH? There are no brown spots or anything like that... The leaves are nice and green... Mabie im just worried over nothing... I havn't used shit for nutes as of yet, so I know its not from over fertilization.

If you do not keep air moving around from the start the stems will be weak, they need exercise to be strong, my plants are both on the outer corners and the hood is raised and both are growing straight up, you did not say whethter you were using a fan in your setup? I got a nice little fan with a 3 prong plug at amazon.com which works great and is very quiet. The leaves will grow toward the light, but the stems should be strong enough to keep em up, although during flowering they may need support. I am using general hydroponics maxi grow with a touch of fox farm organic big bloom, this seem to make them happpy.

Also turning the pods is not a good idea as the roots may be around the plastic supports inside the aero or they may be intertwinned with one another and can get damaged. Is your light still attached to the aero or do you have a separate plug and timer for the light? if you remove the light from the aero you will have more control of were the light will be placed. just a thought.

here some pics from week 4, as you can see the root system is throughout the system, and moving them around or twisting them would not be a good idea as it will damage the roots, nice top tho.

It should be 1/4 teaspoon per gallon to raise it about .5-1 point... at least thats how my PH up and Down work....

That silver/clear dry layer in your stem is GOOD! It is like a snake sheding its skin to reveal thicker skin....well sorta....Think of it more like a tree and it's bark...as a tree gets older its stem thickens untill...well pretty much untill it dies....What I mean is this is normal and the white spots too...take a look back at my pics on page one of this thread and take a look at how mine are...

Oh and I have never used a fan on any of my plants and never had any trouble of any sort....If you keep your light close and dont allow any stretching to occur, you shouldn't have a problem with weak stems or plants falling over....Just my thoughts and opinion...

Oh I had a lot, it was pretty amazing, I'm pretty sure I had at least 5...The first four are like not even a half inch apart, it grew quick I think it was about 4-5 inches tall when I flowered.... Like I said before I flowered 3 weeks from dropping the seed in and it took almost a week to pop up, so I flowered at pretty much 2 weeks of age...It took almost 3 weeks of flowering untill I finally saw a tiny female flower....Well I'm repeating myself a bit...

I Believe this to be true as well... although if you rotate probobly 1/4 turn everyday from the start you might be ok for a while and if you only had one plant in there it would be easier to do as well....

I'm not exactly sure why this happens....I experience it somtimes, it's probobly nothing too serious, pics always help...

two reason i can think of as to why my plant is blending.

1) the bottom stem is weaker then the top stem...it was noticablely thinner then the top stem because of messed up nutes and ph.

the stem on the top got bigger once ph level and nutes were placed properly.


2) its bending because it also trying to reach the center (strongest) of light bulb.

i only turn the pod once a week in the beginning when i saw the plant leaning towards the light. Every time i turn the pod the plant will lean toward the light. So i'm just leaving it now. The light at its lowest setting.


I have a timer on the light and its not connected directly to the aero.

Thanks Tec, it pulled out of it on its own... Looking awesome again! Im mainly worried about the Ph because I havn't been able to get a kit yet, but I've been using filterd water since day one... I will post pics soon.
