I sort of suggested the fan idea to the mrs and got the impression she would have me sectioned if she saw a fan plugged in blowing my plant.She did make a fair point in saying"if I put a fan on the plant the neighbours might start to think I was growing something funny"

No Mon, If you want go ahead and open her up as you were Mon but when you are done go ahead and wrap her.......This Mon would not wrap her tight or pull her together an jus wrap her jus how she is so that when she does gain weight she will stay in her place or only slightly drops......If that Mon don't wrap her, this Mon have a feeling that, that Mons fruits will either break or hang and to the ground before she is ready to harvest. Tex, beautiful plant. The high humidity is the cause of your PM. What you need to do is allow as much airflow to the plant as possible. Perhaps you could use weights or tie downs to carefully bend the branches as horizontally as possible. Allow the colas breathing room so they don't touch. Other than that (and some preventative PM spray perhaps) your genetics is going to be the biggest factor. Where did you get the seeds from? If at all possible pick strains that are resistant to PM. Those will usually be sativa dominant hybrids. Try to find seeds or clones from local growers who have acclimated strains or order seeds. Good luck, I'm subbed for this.

I think you're on the right track. You can add support when you open her out. I would give her support that way.

Please help me out with this Laney. I have so far cut the what I would call the not so good branches off in an attempt to get more air and light in. I now think if I open her up it would be able to breath even more,my idea of opening her up is to tie string to the branches and gently pull them apart in different directions and fastening the string to hold the branches in place.Is this sort of the correct method for opening her up?

PM is a bitch I had rounds with it on my red dragon last year till my grower friend told me to mix 1 part skim milk with 9 parts water and spray them. I was skeptical but it worked.
keep an eye on her and the first signs of and pm do her. That plant is too beautiful to loose.

wow, its a majestic bush. If you can prevent the mold you might be OK. outdoors it comes down to timing, let it go as long as possible, but watch out for rain and/or high winds. if it rains try to shake the moisture off the branches but if its flowering and gets wet the branches get heavy or break.
its better to harvest some like half of it a little early than wait too long and have it rot. I have this LA confidential in a greenhouse until maybe early november this year, just starting to flower but others are almost halfway already.

Thanks hydrosoil,I am in this case going to be patient to be honest If I get it to harvest I will chop it when the general opinion on here is that the time is right. So it's fingers crossed.

Wow pipe dream that was exactly what I was thinking of doing more or less using the same methods you mention. I got my seeds from a grow shop in spain they are feminised ones and called Royal moby and mainly sativa thats what it says on the pack anyway. Thanks very much.

I have just taken a close up of the twisting tip leaves I mentioned at the start of this thread.I took the advice to back right of feeding it basically from now on in. The leaf twisting hasnt got any worse but I get the feeling she is crying out for food is there anything someone could suggest? the leaf tip twisting only occured when I changed from veg to flowering nutes (organic) same company.

Here we go. Is this a problem the past couple of days I have noticed some of my fan leaves were much lighter than the rest of the plant,now I have just noticed that most of the leaves have a purple dot right in the centre please see photo. Does this mean anything if so can it be fixed.

I have probably ended up losing about a third of the branches so far. It is deffo still worth trying to harvest and if I look on the bright side of things the plant has been opened up for me. The support is the main issue now but when I get time I will pull the plant into the pergoda attach some string onto the main beam and support the branches that way. I have read elsewhere that stressing a plant during flowering may be benificial to the end result so who knows,trust me this has been stressed there are still many splits on the branches left but the plant is sort of starting to look happy again.I will not be concerning myself about any symptoms it shows on the leaves as it really could be anything from now on in.On reflection after the hiding it took the other night I think I might have a tough bugger on my hands.No need for a fan now I guess.
