The issue is I have home depot credit card. Lol that's my only chance at getting one for now. I'll still keep up On what happens with you and this guy though sounds good.
they are actually very simple to install. it took me less than an hour to hang inside unit, wire outside unit, run wire and lines from unit to unit and even had to shorten the lines and reflare them. i paid a guy $60 to come out and vac the lines and make sure pressure held(leak check), no need for him to go inside that way.
That price looks amazing.http://www.ac-world.com/proddetail.php?prod=R27GW2&cat=DUCTLESS%20SYSTEMS
Bought this unit for a 5x5x9h totally sealed co2 room with 1600 watts lighting and it doesn't even strain even when 100F out. I installed it entirely myself in a Saturday afternoon, even the purging of the lines as it comes equipped with self purging valves. Everything is included for the installation, which is rare. Really satisfied with this unit. hope it helps
Home Depot carries them as wellThat price looks amazing.
They are fine and if you have any questions their tech support will guide you perfectly..even email you step by step photo guide... I am a retired/disabled old dude and I did it...was simple stupid...the wiring is even done for you...you just have to connect two qwik connects... I shopped long for one and it offered all I was interested in and really works swimminglyI was looking at those but the reviews for instalation instructions looked horrific that's why I was worried.
the only real place for a leak on a new unit, barring damage, is from the line connections. so if there is it would only take a little snugging of the fitting and that you can do. i told him it was for our master bedroom since my wife was very ill and it was hard to regulate her temp to the rest of the household and that she was very sick that day and not taking visitors, so i covered my bases before hand. if you are handy it is a simple installation, just follow the instructions. i went with the lg inverter series, 23 seer i believe. If you have a leak though he'd probably want to go inside. You did just make it a million times less intimidating to install. What brand do you have ?
Wow, those units are actually LESS efficient than window bangers. The Freidrich "Breeze" is even more "do-it-yourself" (no wrenches!) than these units, but comes with better efficiencies, stronger warranty's and are more easily moved if needed.
and only costs TWICE as much.... when i switched to my mini splits from aircooled hoods my electric bill went down ... i would advise anybody wanting to set up a serious grow that they are going to be growing year round with 4kw or more in a room the first thing i would buy is a mini split... inline fans are stupid and dont do shit if your running over 4 k in one roomthe inverter technology is absolutely the best thing to hit the ac market in many years. it allows the compressor to slow down and speed up depending on load. this saves tons of wear and tear on the compressor from not having to shut off and start up every time. it keeps a much more even and consistant room temp and is much more energy efficient. my electric bill dropped when i changed from a 5500 btu wall ac to a 12k btu inverter mini split.
well with 2k of lights a dehumid and the ac my bill went up $130 over what it was prior to running it...I can live with that fine...and it does an awesome job keeping it within a variance of 5 degrees...i just do not see it being worth twice the price for 3-4 more seerthe inverter technology is absolutely the best thing to hit the ac market in many years. it allows the compressor to slow down and speed up depending on load. this saves tons of wear and tear on the compressor from not having to shut off and start up every time. it keeps a much more even and consistant room temp and is much more energy efficient. my electric bill dropped when i changed from a 5500 btu wall ac to a 12k btu inverter mini split.
