Portland area greenhouse grow

well, i'm taking down as much as i can tomorrow.

forecast calls for nights to dip into the high 30s or low 40s. colors are changing in there. branches are falling over. the wife and the neighbors both note the overwhelming smell of cannabis in the neighborhood. it's time.

i have 10 lines, each of which is 8 feet long, to hang branches. this will be the first time that i hang first and trim later, but i see no realistic way of trimming this all at once by myself.

and frankly, i can't wait to sleep inside again. the stress of 24/7 patrol work is wearing my nerves thin and when combined with going to sleep cold and waking up sweaty and hot, my immune system is not far behind.

it was a hell of a ride, and i would not do it again this way.
So then what about next year?
my shit ain't coming down till the 19th lucky fuck.

Hey Buck,

Your girls look quite tasty if I do say so myself. I realize I'm coming into this grow late in the season, but I'm subbed to see further results and budporn.
Looking good man

we're going to make a candelabra out of the best stem.

i managed to trim down 2 of the 10 lines today. i'm hoping to get 4 more done tomorrow and 4 the next day, although i doubt i can be that quick. it gets harder to trim after they sit on the line for a while.

i imagine this will easily be a 12 pound harvest. not a single gram lost due to mold or budworms, too. although the black domina in the back right has to be hosed off for mites before i bring her in.

this was a dream season.

A marijuenorah™? That stem still in ground looked likely. cn

4 lines down (out of 10), gonna go ahead and do a fifth line tonight. will try to work at the same pace and get this batch done in 4 days and de-branch on the 5th day since they should be dry by then. i'll trim a little closer on it when i have the time, but right now i need to focus on getting all this stuff inside. i noticed a few branches while i was trimming that had the beginning of branch rot, although no affect on the buds themselves.

then we do it all over again at least one more time. being able to walk around in the GH now has allowed me to realize just how monstrous some of these plants are.

i underestimated how humid all that plant matter would make the room. i have been running the AC at 70 not because of temps, but because the AC sucks the moisture out of the air.

it is the best of times and the worst of times.

No worms yet here Buck. Harvested the PK. Found about 7 rot spots on a IDK strain last night. Lemon Haze looks close as well. All the others got week plus to go. First year I had bud rot without worms making the mold. Strange for such nice weather. Thank god it's only one plant right now. Very little to no mite problem though. I even saw them on the clones when I got them from indoor grower. I sprayed one time when I first got them home. I only use my cover in Sept. perhaps that has someting to do with it.

When do you think your last plant will come down? You got any slow ones? My Sour D is two weeks plus right now. She's my biggest plant though.

This is my first year to ever have anything done Oct. 1st. First year growing Purple Kush or full indica like that though. Lemon Haze ias fast as well. Have you noticed plants being fast this year? Or is it just me over thinking it.

Sprayed every 5 days with BT until about 2 weeks ago. First year no bud worms seen. But last year I did not see them until Oct 10th.

Whats the process you use to wash your plants? Might get sulfer burner for next year. So wondering how you wash your plants? Or the details anyway.

I am on the east side so going to get 30mph wind gust the next few days.

Anyway just wanted to check in.

i am going to take my black domina down last on october 10th or so.

star trek and GDP were quickest to finish and stayed short and bushy. WMD will be the last to finish but is coming down before she is fully finished based on drying and manicuring logistics.

i just harvested god before she was fully ready too. but i was surprised to see the start of branch rot in a very, very few places. such nice weather, didn't expect that. luckily, i chopped before the rot destroyed anything.

black domina is coming down last because she is covered in mites. before i harvest her, i am going to hose her down in water. then, i am going to hang her outside in the wind and shade for a while before bringing her in.

nope. the two strains i had last year are finishing up in the same order this year. i don't think they're being faster, i think they look better after such a great summer like we had.

my crop was mold by 10/10 last year. this year, i haven't had a gram lost due to mold. i alternated BT and neem (einstein) oil every 7 days and have zero budworms so far, but i have mites way worse than last year. 5 out of 6 escaped major damage. on the branches i have hung so far, the mites have climbed to the top of the branch and can be simply wiped off with a wet paper towel while never touching a bud. only 5 o6 6 branches have had to be showered off so far.

Whats the process you use to wash your plants? Might get sulfer burner for next year. So wondering how you wash your plants? Or the details anyway.
i believe the sulfur burner is for mold. i don't plan on getting one of those.

the only washing i do is with plain water if there is webbing from mites. i toss all bud rot and worm damage. i used BT and neem this year, although next year i will do only BT and predatory mites.

west side here, will have to check to see what we can expect here. all i know is that it is getting much colder at night more consistently. about time to get it all in before mother nature taxes us too much.

Sulfer burner is for PM. I guess it kills it on spot. But if you use it during flower you need to wash it off. I fight PM every year. Although my baking soda spray is working very good.

I also found about 10 spots of some kind of stem mold harvesting my Purple Kush. Just litle spots starting that you know would have exploded. I have also cut out about 5 nodes of stem mold on my other plants. None tonight but about 5 last night. I cut the mold out then pen torch the area killing other spores from spreading. You can do this with stem type mold. Bud worms are just hell.

I am down to just one plant that I can justify harvest if it gets hit with mold. My others I got a week plus and they are still showing all kinds of white pistils.

Was shocked at mold and the dry weather as well. I got great airflow as well. Just one of those things I guess.

the wind just ripped the roof off my greenhouse

no big deal though. no rain in the forecast, and i'll just bust out a couple more 14 hour days trimming so i can bring the rest in ASAP.

next time, i am not putting on the plastic until august. it gets too brittle after 6 months.

another 14 hour day of trimming behind me. time for an hour of relaxing, 8 hours of sleep, and an hour to wake up before i do another 14 hour day. got 2.5 lines done today, i have 2.5 left and should be able to knock those out tomorrow.

if they are not dry enough to debranch on friday, i will put some time into the garage (need to transplant clones, move around plants, take more clones, etc). but since the roof tore off my GH today, i hope i don't have to wait for too long. otherwise i'll be using the living room to dry the rest. i'm not going to let a freak windstorm like we had ruin 6 months of work.

harvest time is such a bittersweet time of the year.
