When do you think your last plant will come down?
i am going to take my black domina down last on october 10th or so.
star trek and GDP were quickest to finish and stayed short and bushy. WMD will be the last to finish but is coming down before she is fully finished based on drying and manicuring logistics.
i just harvested god before she was fully ready too. but i was surprised to see the start of branch rot in a very, very few places. such nice weather, didn't expect that. luckily, i chopped before the rot destroyed anything.
black domina is coming down last because she is covered in mites. before i harvest her, i am going to hose her down in water. then, i am going to hang her outside in the wind and shade for a while before bringing her in.
This is my first year to ever have anything done Oct. 1st...Have you noticed plants being fast this year?
nope. the two strains i had last year are finishing up in the same order this year. i don't think they're being faster, i think they look better after such a great summer like we had.
Sprayed every 5 days with BT until about 2 weeks ago. First year no bud worms seen. But last year I did not see them until Oct 10th.
my crop was mold by 10/10 last year. this year, i haven't had a gram lost due to mold. i alternated BT and neem (einstein) oil every 7 days and have zero budworms so far, but i have mites way worse than last year. 5 out of 6 escaped major damage. on the branches i have hung so far, the mites have climbed to the top of the branch and can be simply wiped off with a wet paper towel while never touching a bud. only 5 o6 6 branches have had to be showered off so far.
Whats the process you use to wash your plants? Might get sulfer burner for next year. So wondering how you wash your plants? Or the details anyway.
i believe the sulfur burner is for mold. i don't plan on getting one of those.
the only washing i do is with plain water if there is webbing from mites. i toss all bud rot and worm damage. i used BT and neem this year, although next year i will do only BT and predatory mites.
I am on the east side so going to get 30mph wind gust the next few days.
Anyway just wanted to check in.
west side here, will have to check to see what we can expect here. all i know is that it is getting much colder at night more consistently. about time to get it all in before mother nature taxes us too much.
