Looks like another 4 years for Obama

48% D to 46.8% R a day before the election.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2012-general-election-romney-vs-obama

578 polls this time..

Close, but Romney still trails significantly in the electoral college. 201 D to 191 R with 146 undecided and 90% leaning D. If Obama wins Florida and Ohio, it's over. Romney needs to take both of those states, plus North Carolina, Vermont and Wisconsin to win.

Here's an interesting outline;

512 paths to the White House

It looks like it's in the bag..
Don't put too much faith in polls. Remember Dewey vs Truman. You should try to read something besides left wing rags. You would be surprised how much you're missing.

I hope obama wins. Then we will have mitch mconnell coming out saying our goal is to deny the democrats a first term in 2016. I just hope the republicans don't block everything that comes their way. Even on things both sides can agree on. My gut is the republicans will still not cooperate. But if their goal is to block the democrats again for four more years, then where does that leave us. Who will they blame for the stagnant economy they are contributing to? Geee uh Obummer.

Obama fails on his promise to fix the economy and you blame the Republicans? A filibuster-proof Senate and a majority in the House and you blame Republicans? You don't seem to have a grasp on reality.

March 02, 2010 07:00 AM[h=2]GOP Wins Filibuster Gold Medal[/h]30 comments
By Jon Perr

Canada may have eked out a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over the United States in the Olympic hockey final on Sunday, but when it comes to political obstructionism, it's no contest. The AP is just the latest to document the Republicans' runaway gold medal in the filibuster. On track to easily shatter their previous record, the GOP has made obstructionism the new normal in Washington.

You see how the right is spinning this now? Now they are saying if Obama wins, it was because of sandy. Or Obama got re-elected on Bill clinton's coat tails. Romney wouldn't want to ride the coat tails of bush that's for sure. The republicans don't realize or fail to acknowledge that the public was so tired of their shit, they elected a black man. Also took over the house and senate, mind you it was a small lead.

But after the 2008 election, the republicans did what they do best. Smear campaigns, hate speeches, scare tactics. They are good at it.

Odd, the only person I heard with that "spin" is you. Are you a right-wing extremist?

this is bad reasoning, if he wants to lower our deficits, then cutting military spending would be a must.
Just like everything else the government gets into, it grows way too big. The military is huge, and depending where you live, its not big enough! We've got to be the baddest asses on the planet, and we gotta overdo it so much that no one else will fuck with us, ever. Why even in movies, we defeat superior alien forces! OK, got carried away there...but everything was true until the movie part.

Time to evaluate our bases around the world and which ones we want to sell for $1 American dollar. Then we begin to reduce the military through attrition and reduced recruiting. I realize that means many young men and women will not have this alternative open for careers and eventually as a source of college funding, but we simply do not need to occupy almost every corner of the globe. When spending must be reigned in, everything is under scrutiny.

also- we can sill impeach the guy if he wins and does what the right wing nuts imagine. i doubt it though he seems more of a moderate than a communist. impeaching mitt romney would be fucking funny too.
You can't impeach a president because you don't like his politics. Every president we ever had would have been impeached.

if only we had competent people elected, then that wouldn't be an issue. lower the pay and benefits of elected officials too while were at it. let them feel what the common man feels.
You're not going to attract competent people by under paying them. Just dishonest opportunists who will game the system.

Romney, disassemble government? Cut spending? You folks aren't serious, are you? Mitt is simply going to grow government at slightly slower rate than Obama, further postponing the inevitable. Vote for Romney to slow down the debt train (and leave it to your grand kids) or vote for Obama to keep going at the break neck speed (and leave it to your kids).
Not sure I can agree with you, but that is a plausible outcome.

Lets start with all military bases in republican districts

he's trying to inflate the debt by MIC spending and war. that has been the fucking leech we need to get off our back. bring the military home and you'll have a stronger workforce imo.
Ex-military people are having difficulty finding work now. dump a 1/4 million more into the job market and we'll have massive unemployment.
