Hi SativaMe, too true, I finally was able to figure out how to attach the carbon filter to the inline exhaust fan so no need of the handyman. Today is hooking up the 600watt HPS light system and finish the grow space. Will post pics as soon as it's all done. :)

Hi AnonBongRip, I have a 15-30-15 water soluble nute I can give them when it's time and someone else suggested I use vitamine B1 and also use OverDrive for flowering.

What I bought was from Amazon.com , it's a 600watt HPS / MH light system and the reflector is like a sheet of very reflective aluminum that is bent length-wise every 3-4 inches. I'll try and find a name or something, lol. And yes, I will be looking more in-depth at nutrients soon. :)

Nice and as far as nutes I am not a believe in them I seen what natural bacteria does for plants and like it better but its your choice like I said super soil is defiantly the way to go and no flush makes quality not quantity which is key to someone like me I care less about the weight yes it is nice but to have a better quality product is more important again to me. Anyway GL with whatever you decide atm seems like nutes hope your crop is superb. Also look into cool tubes to move that hot air best hood to have imo also if you need to look how to set stuff up try YouTube video search's or on here internet is your best friend with this but the huge thing is deciding what route you want to take and what info is helpful more then harmful. (I found a lot of info I thought looked and sounded good which wasn't good thing I have a good friend with a lot of experience to help correct me along my path he also used nutes switched to soil and super soil with compost tea's or molasses and organic nutes and never will go back and I see why) Again this is just my opinion ill let you decide enjoy setting up and working in garden its my favorite part of the day.bongsmilie

I hope that she looks at it the way I do... let's get some grow under our belts and then we can go strictly organic! I have the pages bookmarked for future reference though!

Hearing you AnonBongRip, and I am doing as much organic steps as I can for now and even built my grow space greener than most but yeah, this is where I'm at now and the future is all about educating myself to become a better grower ... and I will. :D

I have 4 Headband ( Headband is a combination of OG Kush, Master Kush, and Sour Diesel. It smokes smooth and pleasant while providing pain and stress relief. ) as well as 3 bag seed unknowns ( from what I saw last summer, likely some strain of Kush ) planted and in the grow space under the MH light.

Will post pics by tomorrow for sure, just need to finish putting up the rest of the Mylar and prettyfying. :D

360$ for 1 years worth of the best nutes available is not a waste of cash.... if u never tried don't assume its crap cuz allot of people think AN products are expensive....
if u want dankest bud this is how you will get .

You grow dank by learning how to grow first, not by throwing all kinds of hot sauce at it. A new grower has a much better chance of a successful harvest by keeping things simple and learning to read what the plants are telling you.

Forget all the additives, all you really need are quality base nutes.

I don't understand people like you hating on AN cuz there expensive ..... go and get your self a job if you can't afford good quality nutes .....
Nothing complicated mixing 2 ml of nutrients per L of water in a water res.... stop hating 350 $ is nothing

Now now gentlemen, there's plenty of room for all. Some of you prefer going full on organic and using the best possible of nutrients and that's great while others go another route. I have seen ( and tasted some super dank weed that was grown with what was at hand and it was killer yummy, I've also enjoyed super great organically grown weed from dispensaries. I suggest that we all make use of what suits us best at a given time, no need to hate or be trying to top anyone else here, specially not on my thread please.

As for myself, right now, I've spent quite a bit of $$$ in equipment and quality soil while being green in the construction of my grow space but I will tell you all this very clearly; I will be using the nutrients I have at present because I happen to have them, they are not horrible though certainly not the best in the world. I grew two extraordinary plants outdoors this past summer that can knock the socks off anyone. I'm using a plant food that is from a local plant nursery and made right here in Canada. I will go out and look for some other nutrient for the flowering phase and I'm thinking about using molasses and B1.

So please, lets play nice, I'm just learning and welcome all of your wonderful ideas and suggestions, I will use many of them and abstain from using others simply because my job is being an artist, it's not 9 to 5, never has been and so revenue isn't always regular. Being a woman home owner in her fifties, I do fairly well selling my art and taking care of things, no debts, and no huge wants but even a few hundred dollars is a consideration I have to save up for.

On another note, was just reading up on one of the strains I'm growing that is called Headband. I read that it can produce 800 grams and more per plant, that's like a pound +, I'm hoping this is true, lol.

I'm too funny, I mean really too funny. Was up in the room and figured I'd see if the passive intake hole I made at the bottom of the grow space was pulling any air, and this is where it's get funny, it was pushing air out which is very strange as the is no mechanism to push air out of it, ... this is when it dawned on me; I had installed the online exhaust fan, the one that is made to draw the hot air and smell out through the carbon filter and send it out of the space and into the room. Well, it was doing the opposite, I had installed it wrong, no wonder the heat was steadily rising and wasn't enough humidity, lol.
Just got through undoing the fan, and re-installing it properly and now everything is hunky dory at last. Now I need a doobie.

Sassy, yield is proportional to light. A very good benchmark is 1 gram per watt of HPS. 0.5 gpw for a first grow would be very good. So be very happy if you get 10 oz. Don't be disappointed if you don't grow 2 lb plants ;) A 600 can grow 4-9 plants comfortably. if you do 9, set the light for 12/12 straight from seed (or maybe a week of 18/6), and you'll have bud in under 90 days. check out hemp depot, and look at beanhoarder. Is it schultz's grow and bloom? you would be fine with general hydroponics' floranova bloom or pure blend pro/soil flower. it's a one part fertilizer that will give you great results. Under $40 at any hydro store. definitely kiss for the first round. Why do you think your seeds died? What can you do to keep the new seeds from dying? The organic vs hydro is moot. either one can be screwed up, or done to perfection. pure blend (organic) is considered equal to floranova bloom (mineral). just go light on nutes, and feed when the plants tell you (the leaves get lighter). water when they need it. hth
