Violent crime is at forty year lows in the US. The US violent crime rate is not even in the top ten when compared to European countries. You cannot buy an AK47 in the US. Maybe it is just a terminology mistake on your part but an "AK47" is a fully automatic military assault rifle and is illegal in the US.

So, the fact of the matter is that the US DOES NOT have a huge problem with gun violence.

I don't live in the US and i did live a couple of years and try and see this from the outside. You do have a gun problem.

Don't get me wrong I think gun laws are a problem, but school shootings are a sign of a bigger social problem.

I am perfectly aware that guns are safe and it is just the idiot holding it that makes it dangerous!
Actually yes, you are allowed to own firearms in this country but it is more tightly regulated over here and we dont have people running round in the street with them because the government allows them to be handed out like confetti.

Also this " essex bandwagon type" has been handling firearms since the age of 11 and has been on live-fire exercises with both the RAF and Army, has owned numerous weapons both legal and not and is currently in the process of applying for my civilian firearms licence
