Damn P! I just heard you're getting a pontoon for that 100 watt IG. Congrats on that. Would have been nice to see the annubis finish under one of those. If the side by side I've been watching on the tomato's is any indication it should plump those nugs up to about twice what you're sitting on now. What do you think you'll run next?

Your instincts were right Hy! truly fucking impressive and I cannot wait to see a high end crop run with this setup. P?

I want to see a comparison between the 420 and comparable led with white led's in there too. 660, 630 and 6000k or 5000k. All the newer whites have the uv and ir.

Chaz do you think adding those 660 pontoons could make hash tips on the buds too. Or more 660nm needed for that.

An all LED run against the 420 with the pontoons would be a gas to watch. What I'd be looking for out of the LED though is to see if they'll incorporate the Pfr trigger which IG is claiming makes a huge difference in extending the flowering period. Some of the growers who are already using these are talking about going to a 14/6 flower if the plants are going into the phytochrome state in less than 30 minutes this still gives the indica's nearly 8 hours of flower. I'm going to get one and run a 12/12 to see what effect that has on yield and quality with my known strains; violator kush and g13 which of course I'll post. The 14/6 I'll let someone else go first.

The side by side tomato's are flowering nicely under the 420 but when you add the Pfr switch @ 730nm and the 660 diodes coming in at these asymmetrical angles it producing 2:1 over the straight 420 and they're about 10 days ahead. If you haven't seen it it's showing live on their site and here is a link to a high res gallery@ https://picasaweb.google.com/117165142682869295633/LiveStreamGarden#slideshow/5824221156985478402
Rumor has it Spliff will be running a side by side too.

Are they still in R&D? Are they for sale yet? How much extra cost added to the 420? What kind of led's are they?

I believe they could and probably would. You would not want any 680 and an intense narrow 660nm to achieve that. These are 90 degree beam patterns laid out on opposing 10 degree planes on each pontoon and interlacing focal points. 1/2 peak is at 670 and 650. The phosphors peak at around 640 with 1/2 peaks at 630/650 so the fill in the gaps with these pontoons has me more than intrigued. They're using LEDengines 5 watt diodes running at 800ma and a 60watt Mean Well power supply so they're not even breakin a sweat. The on board charging circuit runs the lithium ion batteries for the 730's which run for 5 minutes at lights out. Everything fits in the pontoons. Plug and play. Lay it down plug it in and flower. Kinda surprised no one else has tried this. It seems kinda obvious.

Damn PSU, it sucks what happened to all those beans. Here's a Cheese Dreams in a 4 gallon container.
IMG_7635.jpg
As you can see she is done, she has 3 days until chop in this picture. Nice green/magenta-red buds. A bit "hazey" when it comes to the bud structure, but all in all quite productive for her size. So damn cheesy though.
IMG_7637.jpg
Well that's all for the Cheese Dreams, but be on the look out for a new thread.

I had hoped that these genetics would be a little more useful to you, but I'm sure that you learned something and that is always useful.

New thread will have; my nutrient lineup, specific lighting, exacting watering frequencies, "water birthing", troubleshooting, etc. Basically, I finally have a solid technique for using Spectras and getting excellent results. A lot of really useful soil information, and anyone who was ever baffled by Spectra failure will come to a better understanding of; CRI, daily light saturation, cyclical light saturation, and proper blending.

IMHO we are just now scratching the surface of truly efficient lighting. Movement, intensity, duration, and specific NM all play important roles in how our plants interpret the environment around them. It will only be a matter of time before we "move" the bench mark to 1.25g/w. I'm guessing by late next year I will be talking about some of my varieties pulling nearly that much, considering that I'm at .9gpw, I don't have CO2 yet, and my lights were designed almost 3 years ago at this point.

Keep in touch, and as always, best of luck in your growing endeavors.

Sincerely,
ILovePlants

F-F-F-Frosty! I'm really impressed with how both light sources are performing. Excellent job thus far good sir!
Yeah not too bad.............I'm waiting on your double(?) apache grow action:hump:

On the uprising I'm kind of wondering. If you can mix in enough just at the beginning to last all flower.

No burns. so.far on newest ones 2 tsp day 1. Then 3 tsp on day 21 ( yesterday). No fading. No burns.

The ones at 5 weeks. 2 started fading. Gave them 2 tsp a week ago and 1 more tsp yesterday.

my plants are huge. So they are using up a lot of nutes. Mine need it about every 3 weeks. Eventually I want to start doing super soil. I just don't have the room.
I'm dumping the uprising ferts on next time/lol..........no biggie, thanks for the info as always....have you tried F-Fing this line or is it not completely soluble?

Hello there P. If you're sure of the deficiency, then maybe you should consider foliar feeding, which will get the nutes to the leaves faster and stop the damage sooner. It's not too late in flower to foliar feed that plant. Just a thought. And while I'm not familiar with that strain, if it's cheese, be patient. I was just gonna chuck a BC plant out of my flowering room for being scrawny with those weak ass cheese stems and I remembered that little piece of advice someone told me and that plant's working on producing some golfballs for me right now so patience with the Cheese sir. And Puff's right. For 65 watts that thing grows good sized plants. Or is it you grow good sized plants with 65 watts :)?

As always, Good Vibes to You and Happy Growing!
Thanks for the vibes brother............to late to FF the cheese IMO.........great idea though.........yes the cheese will be a late finisher for sure.

Yeah I heard...........will be interesting to see what this little inda will do over some TUT!!! love smoking it, so I'm finally gonna grow these STRONG biotches :)

Always a pleasure breeder.........Your cheese strain is a monster in just TWO gallon containers, this room couldn't have handled all of them/ no way.......I need more seeds! :)
I was unaware of their nutrient demands and did some ineffective training to boot........my fault.

Get that thread started ILP!

Brother Psu and the monster madness, there is no doubt that your panel and you can grow a decent plant.
Thank you grower............good luck in the comp.

I think I got the uprising down. Have not seen any fading on next 3 batches. Just top dressed ones in the 6th week.

For 8 week flower
2 tsp day 1 or last couple days of veg.
Day 21 week - 3 tsp
Day 42 week - 3tsp

If longer add half tsp and go a week longer in between

This is what im going with now. I brained out for minute on this one. This is for indicas too. Strain needs may vary.

Suped soil coming soon some how.

I think it`s safe to say most of my plants have fully recovered

2 of the 3 skywalkers are a bit on the small side but I heard they can take extra time to veg and they were worst hit by the shock

and the 2nd tiny cotton candy is taking ages to re-root might give up on it as soon as it`s sister gives me some clones

Anyway people told me not to bother making my own aeroponics/dwc system, people told me a 50L storage box was a stupid idea, people told me LED`s suck, when I paid £60 for a 3000k 200w tube for the spare induction light gear I had people told me not to waste my money and just buy a 600w hps.

Well I`m glad to say no one on this thread said such shit to me and these plants are fast becoming monsters.

The biggest shock has been how well the Jackwidow`s have been doing.

Anyway Psuagro hope you and everyone else had a good xmas

Here`s a pic of what the going on in my tent today

The lanky little plant at the back is a g13 super skunk belonging to my mum also have an early skunk that`s her`s I`m just keeping them alive for her till the weather gets better as she`s a sun grower lol

Just hoping that that tiny cotton candy root`s up one day it`s started growing again so I hope it will recover but I`m sure it won`t get to flower with it`s sister.

Holy shit I just looked back at my pic`s from the 14th it`s been like 11 days they grew up so fast.

This dosage is for seven gallon containers right? that is a heavy feeding schedule, looks like the uprising line contains low %'s of guanos/manures then?
It's plain stupid for us not to be doing supersoil........ if we have the space.

Merry Christmas to you and yours psu. Very nice grow
you too brother............thanks

Merry Christmas Brother Psuagro, hope you and yours had a Blessed day.
Same to you Tx........get that new journal up:)

ILP's cheesedream @ 70 days since germination under the Hans led panel(65watts):

006.jpg007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg010.jpg.....she's doing ok. The defs have stabilized , organic nutes take awhile to break down in the soil......hopefully smooth sailing from now on:)

PS's anubis girls @ 65 days since germ under the inda-gro par 100 (105watts):

011.jpg012.jpg013.jpg014.jpg015.jpg.....seem ok as well........buds are developing nicely, should be done in less than three weeks IMO.........

001.jpg002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpg....added this filtrete air cleaner(plastic box w fan lol)/ their cheap/quiet and use HVAC filters which I cut to size and added an activated carbon layer (petco/wallmart sell activ carbon in jars for cheap) by pouring w a funnel into the cut layers of the filter==works like a champ for now:P....No smell and filters mold spores(still topping over 75% rh in the sealed room!!)....be safe and happy growing RIU

Jeeze PSU that Han`s panel is kicking some serious ass I want me some of that cheese dream for my vape bong I bet its just pure flavour

Yeah the cotton candy is by Delicious seeds

I was so baked during my last seed order I`d already decided that I wanted some Skywalker and I wanted reserva pravada`s as it looked like the best of the 2 attitude had then my mum had chipped in for seeds and wanted some widow I wanted to grow some Jack so Jackwidow seamed like a good way to go.

I was super high and looking for a few more seeds I wanted something with a load of sativa I was half tempted to get some kind of old haze strain then I clicked cotton candy on the attitude recommends bit

I`d been wanting to get lavender for ages but I heard it was a bitch to grow so white lavender was better when I read that cotton candy was lavender with some south African power plant crossed into it then I just had to get some

See the guy that helped me get into growing he learned all his stuff doing industrial grows out in cape town

So I got 2 beans from the pick and mix wish I`d had the extra to get the 5 pack now I`m going to have to rape her for clones because she looks like my strongest plant next time I`m taking pic`s I`ll snap one of the root`s

Yeah really glad I ordered that can`t wait till she`s flowering not going to flip them for 2 to 4 weeks still, crap that reminds me later today I have to make up 3 more hydro boxes

Oh PSU could you do something for me ? your indagrow plants are at 65 days and your Han`s are at 70 days could you stick up a pic of the Han`s plants at 65 days next to a pic of the indagrow plants at 65 days for me ?

I could just look back but as you took the pics I think you`ll be able to show me one from each that represents best what you saw when looking at the plants as its really easy for a plant to look bigger or smaller then it is in a pic.

Also how is that cheese dream smelling ? super cheese`y ? Man I love the taste of cheese I just fails to get me super high lol

PS fuck me did I really pay £10 a seed for that cotton candy ? Jeeze that little one better fucking grow lol

PSU So whadaya think, Vick and Andy's last game as Eagles? Gonna be a hard coach to replace

SuperSoil? Man hydro is where it's at. It does take a while to dial it in: Hydroponic-Research VEG+BLOOM takes the stress out. Been running it in 3 different hydro systems (bubbler, HPA, and F & D) all with great results. I do weekly nute changes from mid flower on
, and during late flower I adjust pH and ppm every 2-3 days, but that's it.

I`ve been adding Fulvic acid to my hydro and noticed a big difference I also add about 1ml to 250ml of water and give my plants a spray every now and then more so if I`ve topped or trimmed them recently the increase in how much more green they are is pretty dramatic also it seams to stop my ph creeping up quite so fast.

If I was going to go with soil I`d either grow in sacks that breath or use them air pruning pot`s I`ve seen about they do look like they would increase root mass a fair bit.
