if you even knew WTF you were were talking about, you'd retract that statement as hit for hit, columbian gold is just as potent as ANY indica up to the stickiest and stoniest i've ever blazed in potency, unless you think of taking two hits and falling asleep as fun. if you ever took 4 full woofing one hitters of columbian gold, you'd know what REAL potency is when you start tripping and the room starts spinning and you PRAY for the sweet relief of sleep as you've just went "one toke over the line" just like the song says or experience the "swelling itching brain" effect from said devo's song.
it's not how big the resin glands are, but what's in them that determines potency. i've smoked more than one "sticky bud" that was pissweak too BTW and have gone through an eigth in LESS than 2 days on shit like that. an eigth of columbian would easily last 4 days as a gram a day was a total wake and bake binge, and that's going for a full high just short of "ODing" all day every day as the buzz was long lasting too.
potency, in general, is just another bag appeal penis envy "look how big it is" lie. by that reasoning, battery acid is more potent than orange juice. a potent suck is just more of a bad thing. me? i'll take pissweak mexican brick over "bag appeal" schwag every time. even a truly weak high is better than the strongest stone for me, but i have no love of being stoned at all. it only pisses me off.
if you actually LIKE potent stones better, that's your biz though. i don't think MOST people would rather be stoned than high though, regardless of potency, and a light high can be VERY fun too like 8 miles high. i like at how mellow and friendly that 24/7 buzz is myself.
the fun of getting high isn't how potent the effect is, but WHAT the effect is, and bag appeal lies try to deny the potency of sativas which will fuck you up and hurt you if you don't respect their limits man. i'm serious... spinning room is one of the least fun experiences in life.

way to go out on a limb there, but i think jorge cervantes would agree with you there as i'm pretty sure i was his book that assessed the potency of male plants as superior with abysimal yields. i've smoked male flowers a few times though and haven't had any spectacular buzzes of them yet.
it cracks me up, in general, how people get so attached to the status quo about ANYTHING, that everyone loses their fucking minds whenever someone challenges their long held expectations. i'm always taking flack for the days when i couldn't resist leaflet trim (as suggested by cervantes and NOT shabby at all if you have good strains) by trolls who've never even fucking tried it that "know" how bad it sucks. that's the fucking difference between KNOWING something, and thinking it. early leaf kicks fan leaf ass! i KNOW because i've actually smoked it, but it never stops instigators who've never even tried from ASSUMING it sucks and you know what they say about assume.
even supposedly "rational" scientists get their panties in a bunch when new and often correct theories challenge their old assumptions. for many, just being used to an idea is all it takes for them to assume it's actually true. why just today i learned that the milky way is probably 50% lighter than previously thought for i don't know how long on yahoo news.
