You never said that. I said you act like that. Through reading your posts that's the impression I get when you talk about black people not having the same amount of opportunities because their ancestors were enslaved so giving them special attention is like the least we could do or something.when did i say white was synonymous with wealth and that we should feel ashamed?
i am simply arguing that because of our unique history, we should acknowledge that it has had effects on our citizens, ands that we should want to work to correct the sins of our past.
do you think the effects of centuries of persecution can simply be erased overnight?
No matter how you slice it, this action taken by the school is offensive and racist. What are they implying? Are they implying blacks need more schooling?That they all live in the ghetto or in poverty? That when they move through life it is predetermined that their skin color will hold them back from equal opportunities? Why specifically target a group of people based on their ethnicity? Why not make education equally accessable to all in need of it instead of stereotyping? I just don't feel that any special privledges based on skin color are necessary and beneficial.
