First grow attempt...

So I have yet to for surely decide on how I want to train them and when to put into flowering. I have thought about topping and fimming, but don't know which to do. And are they too young right now to handle this? Should I worry about LST'ing because I have heard this is a very slow process. And how much longer should I veg for. I am really getting anxious and am ready to see some bud, but I want a decent yield. So would 4 weeks from seed breaking ground be a good time turn 12/12? If I am switching in say 2 weeks which one of, or combination of these techniques would be the best suited for me? I really would like to see say ~3-4oz's per plant.

For 3-4 ounces you want to wait till 4-5 weeks above soil.

I would top when your plant gets 5 nodes. Top above second node.

Just have a 120mm computer fan blowing across them. I have a 4" inline exhaust fan on the way. I have been looking for a small desk fan to blow around in the tent. But everywhere I go they are "seasonal" so not instock currently.
I have found them at Walmart in November, co you might want to try there for a fan.

I didn't mean to get off subject there. I start LST training when they're pretty young and the stems are nice and soft and I'm not a real big of a fan of pruning or topping. I'm running a 450 CFM exhaust fan on my 1000 W high-pressure sodium with a hood. You can actually touch the glass on my hood keeps it so cool; hopefully this will keep up during summer. With as much light as you are running, those things should veg pretty fast. My personal opinion; I usually don't clones or would not top until they were at least 18 inches tall, depending on how much room you have to grow in.

I agree with Relax. I don't clone until the plant is 14-18 inches above the soil. Then I top and veg at least two more weeks. Remember the plant only grows about two to three times the size during bloom.

If you bloom that 4" tall plant, you will only get a few grams of dried bud. Hardly worth your time.

Why wait so long to top? I plan on using uncle ben's topping I think and will clone the topped part. So maybe a couple more days till then. Seems to be putting out a new node every 2-3 days and its at its 4th true node. Also these breathable smart pots I see would they be any more special then breathable fabric pots from home depot.

I came home from work today and found this. What could be the issue? Notice the dried up tips and the slight discoloration on this one leaf, though this leaf has always kind of looked off.

the first does count as a true node imo
Top her there and she'll still branch off into two...

Well I'm trying to follow uncle ben's technique for 4 colas. And should i go ahead with the topping at the second node or should I let it get a little taller and clone the part I clip? I have never messed with clones before and don't know what kind of space is involved. So basically should I take the chance for the clones and lose ~1 week of veg or so or just go ahead and top and not lose so much veg time
