haha ya i guess I would like to know too...i've done a lot of looking around and have seen examples of a few mirror tests. I just finished using up a 12case of Vector Quint. and maybe i'll try something else this next time cause I need to order like tomorrow :shock: now that i think of it

Isobutane also does a good extraction, as does propane. Why are you locked into n-Butane?

Ronson is ostensibly straight n-butane, but not popular for extractions...............

isobutane also. i was also looking into the ronson and trying my own mirror test. im just trying to make the purest oil i can.

I got a can of ronson beside me... just did a mirror test. colibri did great, ronson was a bit foggy of a residue..

heres an old test I did, not sure why im getting different results. this time the ronson is very very cold (left it outside for a few days) whereas the colibri is warm.

haha I know.. I came back later and it had cleared up so I dont know what to say.

another guy recommended scraping that residue off, then heating it up with a quick flash of a lighter, and seeing what youre left with.

I believe the reason there isnt a ronson picture is because the mirror was so clear I couldnt even get a good shot of it.. the first time around. I just re sprayed some ronson onto the same mirror and it left a streak, which has since evaporated making me think its just frost youre seeing or something.

smoking a joint is like eating a day old big mac whereas smoking oil is like eating a fresh steak. oil always. the ONLY time I smoke bud now is to make ash in the bowl for oil (cant wait for a proper set up).. and even then, I dont even inhale. I just suck till the smoke hits my lips, then I take the bowl off and blow the smoke outta the other end. wastes .5g of weed that had all its kief raped off it,but whatever. the taste out of my bong when smoking thick weed hoots is gross, and that coming from someone who has VERY tasty, piney, very very stinky OG/bubba kush (or so the grower said) . makes your lips brown with resin.. wipe them on kleenex and you would be surprised at how dirty they get. im sure you knew that though. plus the taste in my mouth bothers me afterwards. a joint isnt so bad, but weed outta the bong sucks when you got an oz of honey oil and half oz of bubble hash sitting right there!

I took a 10 dollar "hotknife" soldering gun with a razor blade tip....put a stainless screw (from boating store) and put a variable fan controller on it I had laying around.
mounted it in a leather wrapped box and ....wha laa $300 vaporizer. Oh..put a glass over the nail or even an actual vaporizer hose.

I don't know if anyone has clarified this in the thread. But BHO is not medicinal. It's extremely concentrated delta9. Almost all the canabanoids are extracted in the process. Rendering it non medical by definition.

ya i'm confused on that whole not being medicinal by definition. I'm just looking at it by simple definitions. Could you just clarify your definitions?

medicinal - of, pertaining to, or having the properties of a medicine; curative; remedial: medicinal properties;medicinal substances.

medicine - any substance or substances used in treating disease or illness; medicament; remedy.
