I didn't kill anyone. I got to clean up the aftermath of a suicide bomber though. They like to kill themselves. No need to waste the ammo.
WOW you actually just tried to compare level of horrors with a person on the internet . My argument was not "love it or leave it".. sorry you missed the point. Where did I say or insinuate that you are not entitled to an opinion ???Just because you don't see the end result of your bombs, missiles, and drones doesn't mean Air Force is 100% innocent - but you fly boys/girls do get paid well and stay out of harms way for the most part. I know a guy that works for Lockheed and he doesn't seem to think there is anything wrong with designing missiles to kill more people - to each their own.
And, BTW, the "love it or leave it" speech is for feeble minded with no other argument.... I did my time in the military - most likely seen more horrors than you. So I got just as much right to my opinion.
Thanks, Marine.Former US Marine here...1st Battalion 4th Marines. 1 tour Afghanistan.I miss my brothers. I do not regret at all joining the Corps. Would I do it over again? Hell yeah. The people of Afghanistan are true peaceful people. All they want is to be prosperous and happy. The same dream we chase. Unfortunately there are the few shitheads that ruin the image.Besides, the reason I'm even here telling you this, even growing. Is because of a fucking huge afghani grow I saw. It changed my life. One humble old man farmed in the mountains all by himself. Now I have a sanctuary to myself just like him.
Im sure you mean he was pleased he survived an encounter with the USMC.And BTW, the mountain man gave my commander a hug and cried when the translator told him we weren't there for his field.
I'm sure he was. We are some scary motherfuckers. OorahIm sure you mean he was pleased he survived an encounter with the USMC.
Because you totally should've attacked his country and all.I'm sure he was. We are some scary motherfuckers. Oorah
You know, not that many people that get deployed actually shoot someone; much less kill them. In my unit, the rate was somewhere in the range of 1% actually taking and returning fire. So I'd say plenty of people survive the encounters. In fact, most all of them do live to tell the tale.Im sure you mean he was pleased he survived an encounter with the USMC.
Not the million odd civilians across the Afghanistan and Iraq wars tho.You know, not that many people that get deployed actually shoot someone; much less kill them. Because, you know, the Taliban TOTALLY wasn't running Afghanistan and supporting Al-Queda, and Osama TOTALLY wasn't hiding there before he fled to Syria...Because you totally should've attacked his country and all.
I mean, they were Saudis that attacked on Sept 11...so go blow up Afghanistan!
And THEN it turns out Bin Laden was living like a pimp, in your ally's country, near their largest military base...in Pakistan!!!
You's were like, TOTALLY on point there.
Links? I have never seen a number close to over a million reported as casualties of US troops. On another note; I was under the impression that most of the civvie casualties were a result of bombings and drone strikes. Once again, not the Marines; that's the Air Force. Not the million odd civilians across the Afghanistan and Iraq wars tho.
You know the Taliban and Al Queda are opposing Islamist factions?Because, you know, the Taliban TOTALLY wasn't running Afghanistan and supporting Al-Queda, and Osama TOTALLY wasn't hiding there before he fled to Syria...
The Taliban kept out the people who helped fight the Russians in Afghanistan(Al-Qaeda)? Got some documentation to back up that claim? You know the Taliban and Al Queda are opposing Islamist factions?
Ironically the Taliban kept Al Queda OUT of Afghanistan.
Derp Derp on your part, "sir".
I don't see any war that fulfills the twin claim: liberating a country and in the last decade. The last country whose liberation we assisted/effected (afaik!) was Kuwait, and that's more than twenty years past now. I would like Hemlock to answer my question. cnHe probably means all the places you've freed the shit out of...only for fundamentalist Islamists to immediately take over.
He's on drugs.I don't see any war that fulfills the twin claim: liberating a country and in the last decade. The last country whose liberation we assisted/effected (afaik!) was Kuwait, and that's more than twenty years past now. I would like Hemlock to answer my question. cn
He's in good, uhh, wait what? ~giggle~ cnHe's on drugs.
MAXIMUM respect from me, sincerely to anyone in the service pre 9/11.
Anyone who joined after that, you got conned bitches.
