Wish it was fancier for ya but thats it!;)....SUPER simple! That res floods both buckets but could easily be filled up to an appropriate level to flood 4-6. Those are actually 2 buckets set inside each other where one acts as a strainer and the other connects to a gravity driven return line. Thanks for stoppin bye dude!-S0uP

U said one acts as a strainer..? How do u mean? R there holes in the inside bucket? If so how big? And what r u using to hold the perlite? Sorry for all the question but like I said I've been thinking about trying this setup.

Sounds the same as mine and Flowas :D

If so, yep the inside bucket has holes to drain. I use a pot sock to hold in the perlite :)

Yes easty it is! Come harvest time Im gonna be SUPER jealous of that pot sock cause all I have in there is window screen I got for like 3$ a roll.... dreading the mess. Oh and my medium is a bit different in that there are lava rocks that line the bottom (I used a 1/2" spade bit to make apprx. 15 holes) and lava rocks dispersed throughout the perlite for stability. I have been meaning to ask if your or flowas system "Floods" in the true sense? If you were to leave your pump on for an extended amount of time would nutrient solution flow out the top of your bucket or not? Mine take like 2 min to flood to the top and then my pumps turn off so as to prevent a flood. I think the quick draining flood provides the root system with a large supply of DO and purges the system of old gases, but I guess the topfeed would do that as well...;)-S0uP

EDIT: On a side note, these will be flipped on friday... I cant risk tham getting much larger without knowin how they are gonna stretch so then the show starts...

Hey man, nah both mine and Flowa's drain straight back out the bottom so doesn't flood as such. Only time mine gets flooded is during flush time and it takes about 5 mins to reach the top of the pot before overflowing.

Wicked dude, can't wait to see how big yours get under that 1000 hey, they're going to get massive you realise....haha

You can get them on ebay man. Type in pot sox and they should come up. If you're not in Oz, I may be able to help by buying the size you need and send them on to you if you like? Same goes for you Soup
Dude that is awesome of you to offer but shit man, I cant even imagine what shipping would be! ;) No worries now though anyways I cant retro fit my pots so Im gonna hold off looking till I decide whether or not to expand my system to the 5x5. If I have some success with this I might build a 12 site version and grab the socks then...sounds like fun!

Ya thats why I was asking... looks like almost 3" holes in the bottom of yours! Thats why I cut my feedings down to like 3 a day with the lights on... I think my medium was staying too wet and stunting growth. I hope the buds are massive but if there is any significant stretch I might be in for some fucked up training! -S0uP

Yeah too easy man, i think they are 3 sox for $45 or something here, then i'd say about $20 to send it to you :)

Sweet as man, yeah i reckon once yours do the stretch they will be pretty big ;) just keep training them out till theres no where else to go but up!!

I might be throwing in another screen if its too much of a problem...Im having a hard time tucking these things without snapping them, we will have to see how the stretch goes after tomorrow...-S0uP

Subbed! (better late than never)
Dude, fashionably late! Starting the flip tomorrow so the show is just starting! :) It now seems as though I have all the aussie growers on RIU Involved in this! How did that work out I wonder?? :) Funny thing, I lived in Colorado at Vail and up at Mammoth Mountain for years (Snow resorts) and there was always a lot of Australians chasing snow there too that I got along with! You fuckers are crazy! But awesome in general! So welcome! -S0uP

Looking outstanding soup. I hear you it's hard to judge when to flip without experience in how much stretch you will get out of a strain. I try to shoot for 60% coverage before I flip but an overgrown, stretchy canopy can be a pain in the ass to deal with so I agree with you flipping now. Subbed and looking forward to watching the show. Peace

Yep! Always something we can improve on if we keep an open mind and are willing to learn! -S0uP

Ya bud! Their experiencing the first 12 hour dark period as we speak! Im thinking about running the gaslamp schedule during bloom where lights stay on half hour less every 2 weeks to simulate the plants natural environment...

I really NEED to spend some time in AU man! I know I would have a blast!-S0uP

Thanks for the sub bro! I was gonna let them run a bit longer but were pretty close to the 60% mark anyways... These are almost PURE indica and Im not expecting to much of a growth spurt but Ive been surprised before! In the future I might wanna run four of these per m2, I think you could lower veg time to just over 2 weeks to fill the screen. I think it would also be fun, depending on structure of course, to run 9 of these straight from root per m2 but they may be just a BIT bushy might be more trouble than its worth. Glad to be picking up some more cool people in here, it was lonely for awhile! -S0uP

Nice brother :D just keep tucking them until the stretch is finished and you'll be sweet. If I had more room on mine I would've tucked them for the first 2-3 weeks of flower, that's how much she stretched ;)

Looks to be in good shape soup. The stretch should fill the screen in perfectly, I think your timing was spot on. "Watch how we fill, the empty spaces" LOL gonna keep Floyd in your head all day man! Peace
