OBTW, unless you are talking mind war, a gun is necessary to take, hold and defend territory. When gunpowder came, the bow quickly left.
now the debate becomes about escalation. so where does it end for you? the gunpowder defeated the bow, so what happens next?

saying shit like taking and hold territory sounds like something andrew jackson said when he was proposing the Indian Removal Act of 1830...

No guns no USA. No USA, no you and me (presumable) I'm sorry if a historical perspective is startling but, this is the RIGHTS to keep and hold my territory, my home, my person. I can't do that very well since the invaders are highly armed, can I? I have the Right to arm myself no matter what you think. It's law.

And are you asleep? There are terrorists running around. And the power grids can fail for a long time and trucking can fail for food distro because of fuel shortages.

I remember kidding with Bucky about motorcycle gangs taking over towns, but, guess what, it has happened. Look it up.

The Right for us to have modern battle weapons include the right to not have to explain it beyond this.

EVERY President in our History has had their faults, their followers, their bad decisions, their near-fatal mistakes, people who love them, people who hate them and people who just want them to do what they were elected to do ....

Why should THIS President be any different than any PAST President?

Oh yes! Because he's BLACK!
OMG!! We's gots us a NEGRO in da WHITE HOUSE! Say it aint SO bubba! Say it aint so!!!!???

Ok- enough nonsense (hey-- not far off from what ya Hear on FOX all the time!)

Name ONE President since 1950 that HASN'T had some controversy, hasn't made decisions that were constitutionally questionable, that hasn't made laws and amendments that adversely effect either a certain group of people or the economy or the country as a whole... or one that hasn't had their share of "lemmings" and Haters" alike...
I DARE YOU-- just ONE!!

When I was young and naive, I use to like Reagan... But, then again, I was young and naive.

Since then, I have come to realize that there hasn't been an honest man in the White House since Jimmy Carter... And before him, probably Andrew Jackson.

LadyZandra is right... Don't judge Obama by his skin color, judge him by his actions and failed promises. Are we sure this guy is really black?

What relevance does skin tone bear on one's actions? How would a person's actions dictate a particular "blackness"?

I have seen beck on tv yes, and I have read enough here on RIU to make the
connection.
I did not know that Glen Beck was Che-ist. I suppose he, also, has a checkered past with the SDS, tasted the tear gas, and been arrested for street violence, mob action, inciting....all that?

I didn't know that either. He certainly doesn't fit any of the sterotypes of race, and certainly not black.

I think he is great President for the times and a real Sky Killer. If he can take out L'il Kim, then WE all shall erect a shrine. (an extra one)

the video was funny as hell, especially the part where they said seek jesus. barack obama dances just like rick astley but, unfortunately, there's no such thing as a jesus.

Just doing some research on gun registration

The Criminal Code of Canada recognizes self-defence with a firearm; the Firearms Act provides a legal framework wherein an individual may acquire, possess and carry a restricted or (a specific class of) prohibited firearm for protection from other individuals when police protection is deemed insufficient.[4] This situation is extremely rare

Ok

we have a gun culture because we are required to have it
based on our Founding Docs

We fought to be individual sovereigns and not Crown Subjects. We set up a system the opposite of that. We knew the British are sneaky. WE included language to insure we maintained the gun culture

WE included the most potent concept 9th A

WE made sure from the beginning we would not end up like Commonwealth Subjects.

So there is the main difference.
