They will provide what you need. One thing I have noticed about using perlite over soil/less, is it provides a lot of room for the roots. I'm sure a 5gal will be more than you need. Only way to truly know is to do one in a 3gal and the other in the 5gal. I'd personally go with just the 3's, but that's me. Glad the transplant went well, I lightly squeeze the sides of the 2L to work the mass out. Any roots along the outside that get crunched is fine, they will throw out new hairs to form new roots. Peace!!

So i have been noticing some weird growth and i was just wondering if any one had any input to offer, i believe the veneno and the critical + are going threw some light nutrient burn as i noticed the spotting on the younger growth after giving a full strength dose of aggressive veg nutes, i also notice that some of the tips of the buds forming on the top of the critical + are brownish and look dehydrated could some one please confirm this is nute burn? As far as the burmese kush goes I'm not sure what is going on with it the yellowing on the older growth has been that way for a long time but lots of the fan leaves are bent quite severely...

Looks like a PH problem to me.

One of the first signs of having a slight ph problem is, your plant having part of the leaves kind of twisty, spotty with brown, yellowish, red spots within each other. Sometimes they don’t have to have all the colors, they could just be spots that have yellowish brown, or just reddish brown and can happen anywhere on the plant. Mainly starts on big fan leaves then goes to little leaves. The micronutrients affected by pH include iron, manganese, zinc and, not as often copper.

I just copied that from this thread (https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688). Awesome read for most deficiencies/plant problems/bugs. Most of the time the resulting issue is from PH or salt build-up. Halfway down the page is PH problems.

Peace!!

Thanks for the info guys, i don't see how it could be a PH problem as i PH every time i water but i can see how it could be toxic salt build up, would i test for that by testing the PPM of my run off?

You can test the run-off or just give a ph balanced flush. If you've been ph'n then it must be salts. Or you're mixing your nutes wrong. Can't see any other reason. I've had that exact damage on some of my leaves before and always gave a flush. Seemed to always fix the issue. Peace!!

I tested my run off today, i watered at 5.8 and got run off of 6.7 i usually water at 6.2 so I'm going to start aiming for the 5.8 range to bring down the PH a bit, the ppms came in at around 650, I've given them straight water for the last 4 days which runs around 250 ppm and 5 days ago i watered with full strength aggressive veg nutes at 950 ppm, I've been giving them straight water to dilute the strong solution i fed them because I've been filling up my reservoir after the transplant and wasn't getting any run off.

I watered my plants with 5.9phed water again yesterday i got a ph of 6.7 on the run off and a ppm of 470, I've watered with straight water for quite a few days so I've decided its time to bump up the nutes today, the veneno and burmese kush are looking good and are just recovering from the second topping i did, I'm not so sure about the critical + though it doesn't seem to me like it has grown at all and it is quite effected by the spotting problems i was having, i have been feeding it veg nutrients for a while and it has been flowering for a while, i just mixed up some bloom nutrients and I'm going to see how the plant reacts to it, i still haven't done a flush yet but i am going to do one before i switch to flowering.

Hey there thanks for stopping in man, I've been afk quite a while because I've had a lot of shit going on in my life but I've gotten most of it sorted out so I'm back, the veneno and the burmese kush seem to be doing rather well I'm not so sure about the critical + though, its got a lot of problems based on the looks of things, i would guess most of them could be attributed to me feeding it veg nutes for quite a while while it was flowering, but it started flowering so early that i figured it needed to get quite a bit of those veg nutes before i went to bloom nutes... I'm not so sure whats going on with it but the white spots are making me want to toss it because i don't know of anything that would cause the spots to turn white accept mold and i don't want to be smoking mold...

I didn't think that she was growing to well but now that I've started looking over my pictures of her she seems to be growing at a reasonable pace what do you guys think?

She looks like she is growing decently for dealing with what ever is afflicting her, she seems to have also greened up quite a bit since i switched to bloom nutes what do you guys think?

Deficiencys and the like wouldn't be my strong poing but is it just that she's using the N from the leaves.
She's looks like she has some nice bud there all the same

What about the white spots? I don't think shes doing to bad ether but the white spots just makes me think mold, would you smoke bud that was harvested off her? Like i said i think that she is a bit deficient because i was feeding her mainly veg nutes while she was flowering but if that's the case an N def doesn't make sense to me..

The smell of her is amazing but i don't want to smoke mold and i don't want the mold spreading to the other plants, she smells beautiful every time i rub her and smell her I'm reminded of the "taste the rainbow" slogan from skittles because its so fucking fruity and sweet smelling, i would love to smoke the bud off her but those white spots are making me paranoid...

I smoked moldy bud before when I was younger and didn't know any better, not sure I would now though.
If it was mold though you'd more than likely have it throughout your grow room and not just one plant. Is it also possible she has a bigger appetitie for the N than the others?

Good old Homer,he's always good for a quote or two.

I suppose it is possible that she is just really craving N and i would say its likely all things considered, I'm also sure I've smoked mold in brick packed Mexican although not intentionally, i think i would notice if there were mold in the bud i harvested I'm just paranoid because it appears to be so close to my buds, but i have excellent ventilation in my room and my RH is very low...

It's unlikely so with low humidity and if it's growing at a decent rate and producing bud I'd just keep an close eye on it
