The Low level staffer for the IRS is a guy named Douglas SHulman who happened to be the Head of the IRS and was appointed by Bush
IN regards to a cover up a recently released email from Ben Rhodes shows there is no coverup

“Sorry to be late to this discussion. We need to resolve this in a way that
respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation.

“There is a ton of wrong information getting out into the public domain from
Congress and people who are not particularly informed. Insofar as we have firmed
up assessments that don’t compromise intel or the investigation, we need to have
the capability to correct the record, as there are significant policy and
messaging ramifications that would flow from a hardened mis-impression.

“We can take this up tomorrow morning at deputies.”

I take that as a no.

It's funny how when Bush was the guy in charge you righties never had a problem with all those embassies getting attacked and Americans getting killed.

Never had a problem with the patriot act... It was "hey if you aren't doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about."

Never had any issues with starting two wars or spending billions upon billions of dollars.

Meanwhile soon as a black Democrat gets elected suddenly everything is an outrage. I would have voted for Al Sharpton had I known you guys would flip out like this.

The deputies’ meeting the next day was to focus on more than just the talking points, sources tell CNN, looking primarily at security at U.S. diplomatic posts around the world.
The "wrong information" being disseminated that Rhodes was addressing would need to be addressed with more than just talking points for members of Congress, but also by trying to forge a general understanding of what the Obama administration was saying about the attack in Benghazi.
In this, it’s hard to conclude that the administration succeeded, given the various and conflicting explanations and continued references to demonstrations in Benghazi against an anti-Muslim video, a demonstration that the intelligence community now concludes did not happen.
So whoever leaked the inaccurate information earlier this month did so in a way that made it appear that the White House – specifically Rhodes – was more interested in the State Department’s concerns, and more focused on the talking points, than the e-mail actually stated.
The e-mail was sent to former National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor, CIA spokeswoman Cynthia Rapp, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, State Department official Jake Sullivan, spokesman for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Shawn Turner and others whose names have been redacted from the copy of the e-mail obtained by CNN. I sat and watched, with grand entertainment, the legal drama that many on the hate Bush side don't even understand. That explanation, "stole the election" is shill and emotional and I think irresponsible Royalist talk, My knowledge of what happened is strictly legal. And if you still want Gore, Gore ahead. HA. Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Carter....such fun.

And you can spend all your effort to never see any sides. Just buy the side that's sold to you.

I have cheered all attempts to pull down any President. Because WE can and Do, those motherfuckers beware...and you Royalists, also. These are just Joe Blow Citizens. Look it up.

You take sides to blame others for taking sides. This is Self Rule and Self Consent to the Rule of Law.

Gladiators were tame compared to this.....Don't be confused. (oh it should not be!!!) D B C.

You miss the fun I think if you stay in the cheap partisan seats in the Arena of Power.

You really are dumb as a fucking post, aren't you?

The problem with the Benghazi incident is that Obama and his lackeys lied for weeks about the true nature of the incident and all for purely political reasons. The worst aspect of the incident, to me, was that Obama did not provide military support to the consulate while it was under attack; Obama's minions specifically told them to stand down.

I have to admit I was impressed with Obama's respect for liberty and the constitution when he vetoed the re-authorization of the patriot act. ;-)

I was also impressed with Obama getting us out of Iraq after the Iraqis refused to adopt a SOFA, that was very brave of him.

Obama is an old white guy, isn't he?

Yes, everyone who doesn't like obama is a racist..we get it. Try thinking of some new talking points. It'll help you look some-what intelligent.

I was yelling with you over the wars, I was yelling with you over the Patriot Act, I was yelling with over UIGEA, I was yelling with you while we were borrowing from our children, I was yelling with you over Medicare advantage, I was yelling with you when he was raising the debt ceiling countless times.

Meanwhile as soon as a black democrat puts the Patriot Act on steroids by adding cells, added 50k troops to Afghanistan, ramps up drone killings, drops bombs in Libya without declaring war or getting a vote from congress, gives a windfall to the healthcare trinity of hospital corps, pharma and insurance, doubled down on deficit spending, you stopped yelling with me.

Since you yelled at the white guy but give the black guy a pass for doing the same, what conclusion can people come to? We shouldn't base our distaste for the government on color.

Actually, this reminds me more of 1974 and the Nixon years.
Who had the last scandal free 2nd term? I believe something happens to a man in that position over time. Too much power for a man to remain grounded. Maybe we need to amend that pesky 2nd term out, it would completely change how these guys govern.

I'm not ready to elevate this to Watergate level yet. I think it's more incompetence but I really don't know what's happening here.

I do hope congress doesn't even attempt something like impeachment hearings unless there is a slam dunk, open and shut, obvious to everyone but Buck, type of situation.

Much closer to Nixon than Clinton though.

I tend to agree except for the "open and shut" part. That's a limitation without a difintion. It isn't how this will work. It is Hearings. Before Congress. Before the People.

It's all about education and information, truth seeking, under oath. First you get the poppy pants up on the wall with the dresses or whatever and see what will stick. No hold barred in adversarial Hearing, but not Judicial. Legislative. One Branch investigates the other. We are just getting our feet wet. It is a Royalist sentiment to try to withhold information.

But, there is no facts of that. There is not even a formal allegation of that.

So, why the tap dance, and don't say... what tap dance? Something is fishy and it stinks. This isn't politics we see here.
These are Hearings before the US Congress. And I must say, the record from then to now on Bengazhi is screw ball.

And as long as it seems screwball, Congress can investigate. What's the big deal? Why do they think that the messaging spin policy of an election have anything to do with what happened.

But, to now say, it was nothing, not big deal, but that stink is all over them? Hearings.

What the Republicans fail to see apparently, is that everyone in the US sees through their self righteous behavior, and that they are still desperate to discredit Obama, even though nothing they have done has worked in the last 5 years. They have cried wolf so often, nobody really listens what they say anymore, except themselves.

Everybody had a problem with the embassies being attacked. Are you stupid? Most had a problem with the patriot act, too. You rail against who you think we are, but you have no idea of who we are. You drag race into the debate and call us racist. You hold up as an alternative a man who has been convicted of filing false reports, perjury, and malicious slander.
