Hmm interesting...Thx for the info man.R.Raider: If you have different facilities (buildings) where different activities are being conducted, you have to detail the locations and floor plans, security measures etc. for each one. You will be covered by 1 license, if it is 1 business in multiple areas
by the time the regulations are posted, all their licenses will be issued.Bumpity bump....Anyone get any news? The suspense is killing me
Im skeptical about the mmpr. But I think your cynical.by the time the regulations are posted, all their licenses will be issued.
health canada has already had its closed door meeting with commercial production growers. Simple harsh reality... im betting if you werent in one of those closed door meetings, You do not have a chance whatsoever of getting a license. Just my personal opinion on whats happening/going to be happening.
gluck tho, the whole system they are designing, is specifically designed to keep people like Us out of this business.
Great first post TT, thx for the info.At the moment you may only apply for the research and development license. Health Canada and other involved agencies are behind on releasing the application for the Commercial Medical Marijuana production licenses. This of course will lead to one of two things either A shortage of medicine for patients if they keep to their current proposed time line or a delay in the implementation of the new system. There are numerous types of activities that you may perform or carry out under a R&D license. You must state all proposed activities when applying for the R&D license. The security criteria for storage and production facilities are different and both of course must be met and continually complied with. The security measures set forth for storage depend on where you(The storage facilities) are located, what substances will be stored and the value of the stored material. All the details above can be found by feeding through the MMAR website. If you are interested in more info I will be happy to post what I have found.
And yes any info you have would be greatly appreciated. Think that's what this thread is about. If you are interested in more info I will be happy to post what I have found.
Great find man. So we know summer is when to expect it or it will be delayed past summer. I doubt anything before summer. I never even got a reply back when I emailed them. Goodjob man!!!Thank you for your email of June 1, 2013, regarding your interest in
becoming a licensed producer under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes
Regulations (MMPR).
On December 15, 2012, the proposed MMPR were pre-published in the
Canada Gazette, Part I. The full text of the proposed regulations is
available here:
http://canadagazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2012/2012-12-15/html/reg4-eng.html
Under the proposed new regulations, licensed producers will need
to demonstrate compliance with certain requirements such as: product
quality, personnel, record-keeping, safety and security, disposal and
reporting. Please keep in mind that these are subject to change based on
comments received by Health Canada during the 75 day comment period. The
final version of the MMPR is expected to be published in the Canada
Gazette, Part II in summer 2013. The application forms will be made
available at the latest when the regulations are published.
In the meantime, you may want to consider the Notice to Interested
Parties, also published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, which describes the
mechanisms and the required information and documents for parties who are
considering becoming a Licensed Producer and are interested in engaging in
research and development activities. The full text of the Notice is
available at

Thx but I didn't have to find it...Thats the usual reply I get every time I ask for information.Great find man. So we know summer is when to expect it or it will be delayed past summer. I doubt anything before summer. I never even got a reply back when I emailed them. Goodjob man!!!
Very interesting idea...would you care to share your plans for QA?I am currently working with a team looking to modify a large commercial greenhouse (previously a hydroponic tomato farm) into a MMPR production facility. We made some calls to HC in regards to the delay in finalizing the regulation, and to our surprise, yesterday we heard an automated greeting saying "You have reached the line for Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations", one of the three options is for those interested in commercial applications. After a quick chat, they seem to still be tight lipped however said that "the regulations will be rolled out at the end of the month". Like you, we will be crossing our fingers, waiting eagerly...
