It's hard to give a haircut over the phone, if you know what I mean, but go to youtube, and search FIM or topping, and there's a couple good vids there.it never changed its looks in the past 5 days, what it looks like now it what it looked like the minute after i topped it i didnt fim it like that pic i took the whole piece off, i'm not sure why it didnt grow the new shoots yet that's why i'm wondering it i need to cut that whole node right off or???
OK man, I'm trying to help.i no how to top i've already topped 3 of my plants the first time and it worked everytime i topped this one and it never did a thing thats where my problem is
Then you said you "no" how to top and it's worked before.so look at this pic i topped this plant 5 days ago and no new shoots have started but its not like the other plants i topped when i topped the other ones the leaves where opposite of each other these ones are a little off set so did i top it right or do i have to cut the whole top of the plant off?View attachment 2719925
OK, in the very first pic, the shoot that is pointing towards the first knuckle on your index finger, is that the new growth from when you cut?the very first picture i posted is it with the top cut it was the first time i've topped when the nodes were alternating and i pinched the highest one off and it hasnt grew anything from that or anything else since, i'm not trying to be snappy i just no how to top i dont know why this time it didnt work
i'm kinda hoping thats not whats happening but it could be hmm:/The secret behind how topping works, is that its all hormone driven. That's also why fimming works, the plants hormones tell it where to send the nutrients and where to start new growth.
I've never seen one topped after it started alternating leaves, but I'm sure you're not the first.
This is total guesswork, but I'm thinking that maybe the plant was so mature that even after topping, for whatever reason its hormones basically aren't sending the signals to start the new growth there.
