Right On Brother Tags.I Really Would Have Like An Apache But Apache Tech Doesnt Answer Their Phone CallsRUFF RUFF!!... man always looking good in your tents. I just love how locked in you have your style/systems. You do such great work no matter what you have hanging over them.
Right On Jela.Your SGS's Are Going To Kick Your Pro Sourse's Leds Out Da Tent.Heres A Pic Of My DIY Cross Bars.Oh Bty Peps I Use #4 S-Biner Hooks.I Will Try To Get A Better Pic.Lights Were Out In My Photo Tent.Bascily I Use 1/4 Conduit With A Hole Drilled About 3/8 From The End.Then I Attach An S-Hook Through The Hole With An S-Binder Attaching It To The Top.Got my 2 SGS's in yesterday too...the packing was excellent and in itself something to marvel. I looked a both very closely and they are perfectly constructed. The fan noise is wisper quite compared to my ProSource LED's. The ight doesn't seem to blind me either but my retinas are already torched. Now I've got to rig something up in the top of the tent....maybe new crossbars so I can have the hangars perfectly vertical for max height adjustments. I don't know how you could mount it with just two hangars they give you, but they are good quality adjustable hangars. Anybody know of good crossbar materials? (conduit ect.)
After 3 crashes due to crap made hanger hooks, I bought metal hooks at the hardware store. They're > 1/4" thick with 4" stems that fit loosely inside the hanging rod. Sweet!Got my 2 SGS's in yesterday too...The light doesn't seem to blind me either but my retinas are already torched.
Dawg, I wished I would have read that this morning when you posted...I stopped at a hardware store after work and bought some 1/2" conduit. I cut it to length with some extra and pounded the ends flat. Then I shoved the ends in a vice at varying increments and bent them to look like the the originals up there. It was 110° in the garage too. Your method is much simpler!Bascily I Use 1/4 Conduit With A Hole Drilled About 3/8 From The End.Then I Attach An S-Hook Through The Hole With An S-Binder Attaching It To The Top.
I Hear Ya.The First Time I Fired Up My SGS I Made The Mistake Of Looking At It.This SGS Is A Very Intense Panel.Sweet!
Sorry about your eyes though. XP-E & XP-G's have a warning straight from CREE about the intensity. I thought they were bright before, then I came home with a sunburn, and all of a sudden I understand how much light energy these babies put out.
Looking Good Dawg! I want more room to take advantage of this light, I'm jealous.
Lmao I Tried Your Method First And Mine Didnt look Anything Like Yours. So I Came Up With A Much Easier Way Of Doing ItDawg, I wished I would have read that this morning when you posted...I stopped at a hardware store after work and bought some 1/2" conduit.
