You don't need a scholarly level if you can demonstrate veracity by other methods but problems arise when you make claims that are clearly contradicted by the most basic application of reason, such as discussed with trying to make the tetragrammaton and Yehoshua related by the mere addition of a shin, when in fact that letters used don't work that way.

I would assume that someone that posts things on the internet doesn't really mind if people read it. There is no way to trace it back to you or the fact that you are on RIU.
A little paranoia is a good thing to stay anonymous on the web, but I think you might take it a little too much.
