Affluent taxpayers are those making $200k or more per year? So we stick it to them by making them pay AT LEAST $14,000 extra. so 10% of the nation is going to foot the bill for the other 90%? Is capital gains considered income?

The wealthy won't be paying much, just the upper middle class. The lower middle class can support themselves with fines and fees. The other 55% of America will get it free.

Basically the top 40% are going to be paying for the bottom 55%, while the very upper crust 5% won't pay anything at all.

ehh it backs up everything I said. A simple google search will show you how many companies per year are increasing deductibles and raising premiums so they don't get hit with a Cadillac tax, I am included I will go from a 300 deductible to a 2000 with increased premiums on insurance I have had for 14 years if I and my wife don't lose it entirely for a shitty ass silver plan, her company is being very vague. So fuck you, that's all I got to say, you're fucking over the working class for a handout.:finger:

You still have not explained how you are entitled to other people's money because you are sick. Do you just gloss over that moral dilemma?
being part of a pool brings down costs..it's plain and simple..corporations have been doing it for years..it's called "group" as in "group health"

I am sorry this subject irks my ass, I get so tired of legislation that attacks the people that follow the rules under the guise of "making people pay their fair share" when in fact it's only punishing them. There's nothing fair about this bill, we were sold a bill of goods under the understanding it would lower premiums and we could keep the plans we have and now know from Obama himself it won't and we can't. This bill has gone from the greatest thing on earth to "we expect bumps and hiccups nothings perfect" bullshit Obama says now.

And if the group was voluntary I would have no problem with it. However, this group is being formed at the point of a gun.

The issue is your personal responsibility. Other people in the group are going to be forced to pay for your healthcare coverage. They have to make up the difference from their paychecks. How do you rationalize that and decide that you have no problem with it?

Edit: Being in a pool does not lower costs it spreads them around.

Man you're on a boat by yourself here no one is claiming it's going to lower premiums anymore that fallacy has been exposed.

It will cover 30M people who were without insurance: well no it won't
It will lower premiums by 2500: actually it's raising premiums
You can keep your current plan: already gone

It's ok, though, we still believe everything else.

why do you think you are entitles to other people's money because you walk around with a clipboard watching other people do actual work sewing badges for the menfolk?

yeah, because you would not insure yourself, then get sick, go to the emergency room, be unable to pay, and just pawn off your costs on the rest of us like the little leach you are.

maybe at least check how every other nation does it better for less before opening your mouth to remove all doubt...yet again.

i don't believe it was an out and out lie..i believe that the president had intentions of doing just that however, reality reared its ugly head..
In your "reality" is it okay to use force to make peaceful people do things they don't want to? Why?
