well, i went to school to study chemical extraction, because I know it wins.
most people do not have the training or education to safely blast cans.
even more so lacking the knowledge to properly purge.
most BHO is half done.
even this erl isn't done to my satisfaction, the maker lacks the equipment needed for a 100% purge

I can see it now, you out in the backyard blasting butane everywhere while the neighbor is grilling steaks. Now how do I get my hands on that black cherry pheno, or was that a special order no longer available?...lol. That's a beautiful plant, would love to grow one...or 10!.

Pretty is nice, resin is better. Quickie question, is that plushberry strain cross from a blueberry mother?. I ask b/c I'm having a helluva time w/my jackberry, and I think the blueberry mother dominant strains prefer more of an alkaline soil blend.

A Kingston man whose attempt to make his own hash oil ended up injuring his girlfriend, destroying their home and that of their downstairs neighbour, as well as killing a number of pets, has been sentenced to two years in penitentiary.
Salvatore Trapani, 48, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Kingston’s Ontario Court of Justice to negligent arson and illegal production of a controlled substance.
The fire he caused destroyed a duplex at 39 Charles St., near Bagot Street, just two days before this past Christmas. But Trapani and his partner originally claimed it was started, inadvertently, during an attempt to fill a butane lighter.
That was a lie, federal Crown prosecutor Bruce MacNaughton told Justice Judith Beaman.
MacNaughton said Trapani was making his own hash oil that Friday afternoon, by forcing butane through a piece of marijuana-packed PVC pipe, and collecting the resulting “honey oil” in a bowl.
Just before 3:20 p.m., the bowl of oil caught fire and, he told the judge, Trapani picked it up from the table where he’d been extracting and headed toward the patio doors with it.
However, on the way, the judge was told, Trapani tripped, splashing the burning contents of the bowl over his girlfriend and their apartment.
While they were both trying to put out the flames on her, MacNaughton said, the fire took hold in their apartment and spread beyond their ability to contain it.
They escaped and were treated at hospital for their burns, Beaman was told, and MacNaughton said they were consistent in their claims to medical staff that their injuries were the result of a terrible lighter filling accident.
Meanwhile, crews from three different Kingston fire stations worked through the afternoon trying to save the building where Trapani and his girlfriend had lived and 41 Charles St., next door, remaining on site well into that evening. MacNaughton told the judge the two addresses were only separated by one common wall.
All of the human occupants of the buildings either made it out or weren’t at home when the fire started. MacNaughton said a pet dog and several cats — including one that belonged to one of Trapani’s neighbours — perished in the blaze, however, which also filled Kingston’s downtown core with thick, dark smoke.
When an investigator from the Fire Marshal’s office later walked through the ashes and char, though, MacNaughton said, he became suspicious when he noticed several butane cans and PVC pipe.
The Fire Marshal notified Kingston Police, the judge was told, and they subsequently obtained a search warrant to look through the upper-storey apartment, where Trapani and his girlfriend had lived for about 18 months before the blaze.
MacNaughton said the search recovered a length of marijuana-stuffed PVC pipe and $2,030 in cash from the ruins.
Trapani and his girlfriend were both arrested on Jan. 4, he told Beaman, and, when confronted with the charges, he said the woman disclosed Trapani’s hash oil cookery, but denied having any part in it personally.
Defence lawyer Mary Jane Kingston tried to convince the judge to hand down a reformatory sentence of no more than 18 months of jail for her client, followed by one year on probation.
She argued that “Mr. Trapani is very remorseful,” and told Beaman her client loves his partner and feels badly about her being injured. The woman sustained burns to her face, arm and leg from the oil, although she told Justice Beaman she spent no time in hospital and healed in a month.
Kingston said her client hasn’t been able to talk to his girlfriend since he was jailed in January, however, and noted that the couple “lost everything in the fire, including their pets.” Beaman was told that the dog and several of the cats that perished belonged to Trapani and his girlfriend.
MacNaughton emphasized to the judge just how dangerous Trapani’s little hash-making venture was, however, taking place as it did in what both he and Crown attorney Ross Drummond characterized as a densely populated area of the city.
Even contained by Fire and Rescue as it was, MacNaughton said estimates of the damage are in the $400,000 to $500,000 range for the buildings alone.
Beaman asked for information about the losses suffered by Trapani’s neighbours. But Drummond wasn’t able to assist her. No victim-impact statements were obtained from any of them, he disclosed, although Drummond said he suspects they suffered losses as significant as Trapani’s , though unlike him, through no fault of their own.
Consequently, he urged her to hand down a penitentiary sentence and MacNaughton pointed out it wouldn’t be Trapani’s first. His record, the federal Crown prosecutor noted, goes back to 1980 and includes four prior drug convictions.
In sentencing him, Beaman told Trapani, “well, this clearly was an exceedingly dangerous thing that you did. You’re lucky to have survived it and your spouse as well.”
In addition to penitentiary, she ordered Trapani to spend two years on probation after his release. During that time, Beaman has forbid him from using or possessing street drugs or drug paraphernalia. He’s also barred him from associating with anyone his probation supervisor disapproves of and has been ordered to co-operate with any assessment, treatment or counselling directed by his probation supervisor.

Authorities are searching for two men who fled a suburban East Hemet home Wednesday afternoon during an inferno caused by a marijuana lab explosion.
Riverside County sheriff’s investigators determined burning marijuana chemicals set the blaze that destroyed a home at the corner of Acacia Avenue and Lake Street, in the unincorporated neighborhood of Little Lake.
The Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Bureau issued a statement Thursday that said two men were seen fleeing after several explosions were heard just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Detectives believe the men were using a flammable substance to extract concentrated cannabis from marijuana plants in the garage. Evidence suggests a spark ignited the fumes, which caused an explosion and flames that consumed most of the home, according to the statement.
The fire also caused ammunition in the home to discharge and fire at the same time firefighters arrived.
Firefighters battled the blaze for three hours as flames sent up dark smoke and tore through the roof of the two-story, four-bedroom, 2,100-square-foot home. Authorities have not identified the property owners.
Neighbors said two men ran from the home just before sheriff’s deputies arrived. Witnesses near the fire said one of the men had serious burns to his arms, but authorities said no burn victims sought any medical treatment Wednesday at nearby hospitals.
Witnesses described one of the men as 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, medium build, a light complexion with possible burn injuries to his arm. The second man was described as about 6 feet, with a large frame and a dark complexion,
Deputies canvassed the area, but no one from inside the house was found. No arrests have been made.
During the search of the neighborhood Wednesday night, firefighters and deputies found a man hiding in a family’s garage about a mile away from the explosion. However, sheriff’s officials said Thursday that the man — a parolee under the influence of drugs — was not connected to the fire.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the sheriff’s Special Investigations Bureau at 951-955-1700.

Sal Melendez said city firefighters were called to the building in the 900 block of Franklin Street about 10:15 a.m. He said the occupant of one apartment — later identified by Louisville police as Mark Hazel, 26 — was using butane to dry marijuana when fire spread to clothing and caused some butane canisters to explode.
The force of the blast caused part of the back exterior wall of the building to bulge out.
Some drugs were recovered, Melendez said, and police could be seen carrying away a plastic bag of marijuana and a pipe. Melendez said no one else was in the building during the explosion, but the person in the apartment with marijuana suffered upper body burns.
Melendez said the occupant was not growing marijuana in the home.
“It was a drying operation,” he said.
Officer Carey Klain, a Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman, said Hazel was not expected to leave the hospital immediately and had been charged with endangerment and marijuana trafficking.
A University Hospital spokeswoman said late Thursday afternoon that Hazel was still in the hospital and listed in stable condition.

people please please take care if your going to do BHO extractions !! esp if you live in an apartment with other people, babies, pets etc. Im on the east coast so don't really see much BHO or budder around these parts, just a lot of ice water hash and flowers for the most part. Like Matt said use an anti-static bracelet for this and make sure your grounded. Being naked on cement will help as well no lie!...and using a pvc tube to do extractions just doesn't seem healthy to me, get a local glassblower friend to make you a tube if need be.... is BHO wax the highest quality extract ? or can you make just as potent hash from ice water extracts? Seems like there must be a benefit to BHO if people are going thru such great lengths for this stuff.

Is it really that surprising that someone would get a hold of the simple supplies to make bho but not the simple information. I mean yeah to an extent its common sense but some people have no idea what bho even is, so I could EASILY see a stoner doing this inside next to a fan thinking its not a big deal. So pull your heads out of your asses the majority just wants bho not a physics class and yes stupid people actually do exist!

someone please clear this up for me!! ive made bho 15-20 times with good results, but i need to know HAS A BHO RUN EVER BEEN BLOWN UP OUTSIDE??? and by that i mean not in a garage iwth the door open, not neer electical units or outlets or under something. i mean out in the open with a breeze. im going to be done making this if even one instance has occured because of a cell phone maybe, or anything else. its not worth it to me to make it even tho its incredibly profitable and awesome to smoke.

Rember butane is dangerous even after being eveaporated , butane (gas) is still heaver than atmospheric air (unlike most flammble gasses)so it settles in low spots , and can eazly settle down in the weeds of a field .
If you must do this , do it twards the top of a hill on a windy day
Being naked sounds like a horrible idea , if their is a fire you and your junk will be burnt even worse , Just dont wear any metal or any fibers that eazly conduct static electricity . Flame retardant close is a good idea (some work wear is flame retardant) .
You may want to look at how fireworks are produced they have all kinds of safty measures in place that would serve the BHO maker well .
A grounding rod makes sense to me that way before the procdure you could discharge any static electricty saftly
