I don't know if you are really new or just a new ID. But the word last year at Christmas time was 'inappropriate' I had a run in with FDD and that became the hot button. I did rather enjoy it though.

Edit: It might have been the year before. How long has FDD been gone?

Well if benefits are brought into the equation, then certainly, i agree. But the OP mentioned nothing of that, it simply seemed to be some rant without any clear message regarding minimum wage and expensive jeans. I couldn't work out his point.

The OP message was pretty clear to me, many people on minimum wage waste their money on shit they can't afford.
Then bitch and complain they don't make enough money. There's a big difference between the ability to pay for something and whether you can afford it or not.

There is no mention of people not being able to afford it. The post simply states that he saw expensive clothes, and then fails to make any point at all. There is no statement about credit cards, or benefits, or loans, nothing...

I did a contract gig not so long ago at a local college - adjunct instructor. I have my full sheepskin. I got paid about that in real terms. The pay per nominal "contact hour" was rather higher, but the ratio of "contact hour" to actual hour worked is one to four or five.
Were i hired full-time, the ratios would sweeten some.

How many high schools teach money management skills? How many High schools prepare the youth for adulthood? Credit card companies KNOW they don't teach people about credit and debt, so they take advantage of it, just like colleges take advantage of the facts that almost 100% of applicants can get federal aid, so they just jack the price instead of increasing the quality. I read somewhere how student loan debt is growing faster than any other kind of credit there is. Then I read somewhere else how the GPA keeps going up higher and higher because the courses are becoming easier and easier.

Wouldn't it be better to have cheap school, but high education standards compared to expensive school coupled with low standards?

Seems we have de-evolved.
