  • Just ordered 2 t4 1750. Excited. You suggested three lights for my 5x5 but I recently incurred a medical expense that lowered light budget. If I were to only use 4x4 of my tent on six plants will I still get the 830ppfd? I purchased the ones with reflectors, should I of waited for two with lenses to come available? I apologize if these are dumb questions, totally new here. Thank you for your time

Reflectors provide more light so I'm doing mostly reflector lamps ATM.

Yes, 2 T4-1750s in a 4x4 will provide 830 PPFD. I think you could plan on using most of a 4x5 space and add another one later if you felt it was necessary.

Thanks for the buy, I'll have them on the way tomorrow.

Easy decision after all the research. That is exciting thank you.
After a lot of research and reading your posts I feel confident and comfortable going with tasty led's for my lights. What do you suggest for 5 by 5 tent?

    3 T4-1750s would provide 780 PPFD
    2 T4-1750s and 1 T3-2100 would provide 740 PPFD.
    3 T3-2100s would provide 670 PPFD.

Any of those would provide excellent results in a 5x5
    Rahz,
I Am the person who have been talking to you via email about 2 T2-2100 with lenses.....I was wondering why you chose to use the reflectors instead.....I would think the reflectors create more projection causing hotspots as opposed to the lenses which at about 5% diffusion softens the light...just wondering
also am very excited to get my 2100's

is that with the reflectors or lenses? if with reflectors then what is it for the lenses....growmau5 has an optics video......the lenses look to be much broader then the reflectors
how much more output do the reflectors create then the lens?
    thank you for your responses

They would be similar in that regard. A reflector's minimum height might be an inch more than the lens or something similar.

Reflectors have a more defined edge, but this doesn't necessarily indicate a hot spot. Tests show higher readings directly under the light as well as to the side of the light within the 90 degree cone. It's a good thing, that's why I switched.

thank you for clearing that up....I opted for the lenses for the sake of protection as opposed to an open emitter......looking forward to hearing from you when the 2 T2-2100's are ready
    Thank You
Hi rahz! You speak of an cxb upgrade in a post about the new vero 29 v3, and that the vero's are more efficient. Do you know when cree realeses them and how much they are off the veros?

I think someone mentioned June. The new CXB bin will probably be a little more efficient than the new Vero, but I think they will run pretty close. Just have to wait and see.

i have 3,5x3,5 grow tent how many 1400 would you reccomed for it? im using 400w hps now grow 6 autoflowers
    Rahz
    Rahz
I would put a couple T3s in there. 2 T3-1750s would be similar wattage and higher light intensity compared to the 400w HPS, or the T3-1400s less wattage similar light. I would need to build the T3-1400s if you wanted them, couple weeks lead time.

what would be price of one unit and how many units do i need??
    Rahz
    Rahz
    The T3-1400s are $450 and T3-2750s are $500, T3-2100s are $530.

You would want 2 in there. 2 T3-2100s would be more like 750w HPS
What would recommend for 2'7×2'7ft tent 5ft tall just for veg
    Rahz
    Rahz
For mother and clones a T1-2100 would work, but if you want a strong veg light a T2-2100 would provide enough light to support a rapid veg stage in your space (500 PPFD). The T2-1400 would also work providing 370 PPFD, more than enough for a strong veg.

Do yo have any of t2 models and I was reading does a regular computer power cable pug right into the unit or so you have to hard wire it
    Rahz
    Rahz
A regular computer power cable will plug it in. I have a handful to assemble, should be a couple showing up today.
Hi, I am intrigued by your LED lights and what folks have said about them. I am in the beginning of planning a 6x8 grow room with 7' ceiling. I plan to do perpetual so the space would be roughly divided in half (using some space in Veg room for clones/mother. Would you give me your recommendation about how you would light this space with your lights.
    Rahz
    Rahz
The T4-1750 provides great coverage in a 2x4, so 3 of them in a 6x4 area, maybe 4 of them if you're using more space flowering. For the veg side just a mom and clones, a T3 2100 would be more than enough. If you're vegging the plants out, about half the recommendation for flowering, maybe 2 T3-2100s in a 4x6 area. You could also use T3s in the flowering chamber rather than T4s.
hello im trying to order parts for a cob build from riu advertisers but im not sure which site is yours.i wish you guys had links to your products in your sig or even here in your profile .
    Hi rahz,

you mentioned that Supra have tested that the vero29 at 0.7a is the same effieciency as the 3070 BB on 0.7a, but van you direct me to that post because i can't seem to find it for 3 days now.

    Thanks for your time!

Hey Rahz me again, sorry but do you have any more t2-2100's left and if not would a t2-1400 be suitable for a 18inx29in area? Kind of like a replacement for a 250 watt hps?thankyou
Hey Rahz which of your LEDs would suit a 8x8 tent?
    Rahz
    Rahz
The T3-2100 would be the most light for the money, 2 per 4x4 so 8 in a 8x8 would provide over 700 PPFD. The T4-1750s cost more but 8 would increase PPFD to over 800.
What kind of payment methods would you accept if you need to deliver some lamps somewhere in Eastern Europe? How much would cost the shipment ? I plan to create new grow room in the next couple months and I do some research currently. I tried to register on the site, however only few countries are listed there.
    Rahz
    Rahz
I can add countries if I need to. I'm working on signing up with DHL and hopefully will get some good international rates. You don't want to know the rates for Fed-ex international.
And how similar is this to growmau in you tube that uses the same cobs
    Rahz
    Rahz
The use the same cobs and same heatsink profile, so they are similar.

What you recommend for 4×4 to have 1000watt results
    Rahz
    Rahz
    3 of the T3-2100s would give 1000w results in a 4x4.
    Rahz
    Rahz
3 T3-1750s would also give similar results.
Hey lookkng at your light now when you mention ppfd in your specs of how many light in the size frame is layout of let's say 4×4 with your t3 1750 with with a pots throughout our the whole 4×4 or is that an average and can you tell the cri of the t3 1750
    Rahz
    Rahz
The PPFD figures are averages for the area.
    The CRI is 80.
Hey I got referred your way by a few members. Of your products which configuration would you suggests to maximize lighting in a 2x2.5ft area?
    Rahz
    Rahz
A T2-2100 would provide about 800 PPFD in a 2x2.5 which is getting pretty bright. The T2-1750 would be about 700 PPFD which is still pretty strong. I should have a couple T2-2100s on the website sometime tomorrow or Tuesday.

    Thanks,

Got a Question for you. i want to start a indoor grow room but im not sure what light i should go with. At first i had my mind set on LED. Because my power bill is like $550 a month already. if i did end up picking HID's would my power bill sky rocket? I know you said in a post earlier that you own a light company. would you link me to a light or 2 that would be sufficient enough to grow 10 plants.

Question for you. On the cob bars you sell...do your fans blow up or down?
    Rahz
    Rahz
They all blow down except for the T4 which has 2 fans, one blows up and one blows down. This keeps the fans from working against each other.

Thanks for getting right back...good to know what pros are doing.
    Rahz
    Rahz
2 fans on a shroud it's best to have one pulling air out, but on an open design I would have both blowing down.
Just got the light today! i noticed that you didnt supply power cord to run the light? I thought you send them with it. Anyways since i have to make my own, what gauge wire do you recommend to do so?
    Rahz
    Rahz
The power inlet is C13 so the cable would be 5-15P to C13. It's the same thing as a "computer power cable" you would use to plug in a desktop PC. You might have one around the house but if not you can find them at Best Buy, Radio Shack and similar places.
