You won't damage the roots unless your uprooting the stem, that's why you tied your stem at the base before you tied it down at the top. Your stem is just more mature or woodier than mine. Could be a laundry list of reasons why, figured the seed/clone was the best shot in the dark lol

is your plant a clone or from seed? Mine is from seed and I pop mine in root riot pods and when they finally sprout and I put them in dirt, I leave a little bit of the pod out of the dirt for support. Plus mine being from seed makes its tissue softer than that of a clone. Bends much easier.

And how do you know? You can take an 8 week plant to 10 or 12 weeks. I know a guy that took Blue Dream 16 weeks. He entered it in a weed expo/contest and won. Dont just time your plants, cater to what they need and what kind of high you want.

Why are you going Ozone? do you have pets or family in the house? i would NEVER run ozone in my grow because of my daughter and my dogs. So if you go ozone just pay attention. Why not try Azamax? Few applications and you should be golden and even helps your plant become more resistant.

still a chance its not a hermie. grow it, watch for nuts and clip them. i've had plants start to hermie or grow nuts and i've clipped that budsite, branch or just the nuts and had nothing else pop up.
