I'm deffjnitely a fan of mag ballasts. I've had digitals and went back to mags. You may or may not be able to push a little more efficiency with digitals but the reliability of and life of mags makes up for that. Not to mention the cost and availability.

I still use a 250 halide that was made in 83. I've never had to replace anything except the bulb. It was an all in one unit but I used a cord from an old AC hood that I didn't need and made it remote.

Ya I smoke all of what I grow, just a small grow. Personally i prefer buds that aren't super dense. I like to be able to grab a nug put it in a pipe and smoke it. The really dense buds I've seen just don't seem to burn that well without breaking it up or grinding. I'll toss another pic up later...

No, they are more dense than the buds from the bigger plant that this journal started with. I'm sure they won't end up as dense as some of my other strains but that's not.really a concern for me as long as they aren't real airy.

I went with the thc bomb and the bubble bomb, got a freebie of big bomb, cherry bomb. So far I'm liking what I see except thc bomb has a ridiculous stretch haha.

Late update.. but here's the end of week 7 from 12/12. Probably going to cut on the end of week 9 from 12/12. At least the top halves of the plants anyway (I'm pretty much out of buds haha)
