    Quick plant problem w/ pic

I slowly watered the soil, waited 10 minutes, and added a little more. About an oz of run off came out the bottom and I tested it. 2500 ppm. I'll bet either the roots haven't grown into the new soil or the soil is too hot? Are these the signs of hot soil?

    LED vs HPS?

Oh I didn't know this. I am sorry that I accused them of lying out of my own ignorance. That kind of advertising is at least disingenuous, imo. It's like telling a girl you have a 12 inch dick - it's true, technically, if you measure from your anus, but that's not what she was asking about lol.

    Deficiency or something else?

See how all the tips looks small and lighter but the leaves around them are nice and lush? I'd say you ran out of magnesium. What do you think?

    Is this plant healthy?

Hey man I agree with bud that it could be a light issue, but did it all start when you transplanted? I noticed you topped the plant recently. That should help you better distribute the light from the cfls. If your cfls are 5 inches from the top of the plant the bottom of that plant will be...

First grow - yellowing and dying leaves - Magnesium defiency?

It could very well be more than one deficiency. My vote is cal mag. Like, you might have a nitrogen thing, too, but you don't get those cupped leaves nor the spots with just nitrogen problems, right? The second poster, weedy willy, looks like he might just have a nitrogen problem.

No but I will be trying it now!

    Reviving an underwatered plant

yes I know, but it's also a sign that the root system is good enough for the shoot system. I'm sorry, I guess I didn't elaborate about my suggestion. I'm assuming that the reason the leaves were dying is that the roots that supported them died of thirst. New, young, lateral roots account for a...

First Grow, First post, first question

I agree with phase, though I'd say that unless you want a couch lock you can pull them now. To me it looks like there are more ambers than clears. That tells me that for every clear that matures to milky more than one milky turns amber.

    Reviving an underwatered plant

How about try watering it a normal amount, removing dead leaves so they don't mold, and putting it in a humidity dome. Leaves transpire much less in high humidity environments, which is why you need high humidity for clones. How about give it one normal watering and leave it in a humidity dome...

    How much longer until harvest?

You need a better loupe. 60x magnification will make it so easy. You will see the heads swell, you will see no clear ones and a few ambers when they are ready. If you can just make yourself wait until they are ready it will be so worth it in taste, smell, and weight...

    Pest concerne

If they are primarily in the soil they are probably soil mites, which don't seem to cause problems. They are part of the composting ecosystem. If they ever show interest in your limbs or leaves they might be spider mites, in which case they are a problem. The last time I used potting soil it...

    LED vs HPS?

LED manufacturers outright lie about the wattage. They almost always put the wattage of the HID light they would replace. IE they say they LED is 1000 watts because it can do a 5x5 tent, but because LEDs are efficient it only uses 3-400 watts. For example here's one that advertises as 600 watts...

    Quick plant problem w/ pic

Transplanted this gal from a promix hp solo cup. Within days she was growing quickly but her growth had this strange pattern on it. I know the pics make it look like a mag thing but notice that the areas of chlorosis have become necrotic. Also I put a fair amount of dolomite lime in the new...

    Light distance at professional facilities

Dear OP: I share your concern. Everything I have read and everything I have experienced while growing weed tells me more lux is better. The sun gives at least 100,000 lux around here on March sunny days. My outdoor plants cannot be matched by indoor plants, and I don't credit that growth to the...

Name that problem (quick n easy)

Plant grown in promix. Nuted lightly with a 1-5-1 organic nute. Growth has been healthy, slow, and steady. I am most perplexed by the disintegrating leaves.

    What is a middle leaf

I always assumed that middle leaves were the leaves located halfway between the top most leaves and the bottom most leaves. But now I wonder, is that actually true? Or are they just the biggest leaves at the top of the canopy?

    Repotted 2 weeks into flower

If you repot right you don't get much root stress. But I don't think you should expect much weight from that. It does t have enough leaves to suck up enough light to do much. I'm sorry to say.
