Mirrors aren't as reflective as you would think. Much intensity is lost as the light passes through the glass twice. Get some mylar, it will work much better.

When you pop a plant from seed, you aren't the one deciding when it's ready to flower. The plant looks pretty nice. if it showed preflowers at 2 and a half weeks and this is what it looks like at 5 weeks, then it looks right on target.

Since some of the most damaging pests will be happy to never leave your plant(spider mites, thrips), I don't feel this will be 100% effective. Certainly could trap some gnats that way, but sounds like you have more than that going on.

Some plants are more sensitive to stresses than others. A small amount of light may have no impact on one plant, or cause a complete sex reversal on another. Best to never chance light leaks.
