Angel has a great point there, don't be confusing those little spiky things at the nodes for preflowers. boys and girls both have those things. Make sure they are really hairs.

I wasn't saying the lights would trigger it, sorry for unclear. He has preflowers, which are just as strong an indicator of maturity. Some strains show one or the other first. Either is a pretty fair 'green light' that it is flowerable.

You could be waiting for a long time... Switch the lights and the nodes will start alternating. Veg the plants until they are the size you want to flower. I don't know what size plants you're looking to end up with, but a 7 inch plant should stretch to 15-25 inches or so in flower depending on...

Personally I use equal parts peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite for a general weed growing mix. Has not let me down yet.

Voltage is what you're missing. A 1000w fixture may draw 11 amps at 120v, but it will draw 5.5 amps at 240v. That box is rated for 50 amps at 240v, which can handle 8 1000w fixtures, although maxing it out. Safety says try to use less than 80% of it's rating.

Some plants just have it in their blood. I can always get fem seeds from my sour diesel if I let it go a bit too long. and i can always count on those plants to give me fem seeds if I let them go too long. And not by stress, just by letting it live.

If the stress from the slug attack induced the herm, then resulting seeds will likely herm when attacked by slugs. My experience tells me that this plant will probably herm for a variety of non-ideal factors. In some respects, stress is stress. Can't hurt to pop one and see what it does.
