color temp is just one measurement and there are an infinite number of spectra that can create a given color temp
look at spectra of full sunlight, ~5500k

look at spectra of a 5700K LED... its nothing at all like that...
just a heads up that 3000K in an HPS, 3000K in LED, 3000K in fluorescent, and 3000K in CMH are all completely different spectra.
color temp is a very very simplified way of describing the quality of light
see thread above
they are generally of dubious efficiency and reliability and force people to have hot 110VAC leads all over a less-than-ideal environment for them
all the recs are on point
high voltage series is the only game in town with the 68V vero Cs and as mentioned you are at the mercy of (slightly) lower efficiency drivers as the 600W drivers arent available in high voltage.
i think the rating on the veros is right around 400V (@welight ?)
depends on the efficiency of the light but 200W in a 2x2 (50W/SF) should be over 1100 umol if all the light is hitting the canopy with a 50% system efficient light
agreed. you can grow GREAT weed without supplementation and unless you are growing consistently great weed you risk overcomplicating things and reducing your overall quality and yield.
my theory:
people here know the difference between a decent LED and christmas lights and are tired of dozens of people justifying their christmas lights by demonstrating that they can grow a plant, with no other metrics or useful info to be gained.
