    Vegging techniques for max yield

    I have mentioned it in one of my last threads and I am sure a lot of guys here are aware of it The most important apart from lights and plant food is to get your stems as thick as possible before flowering. If they are thin and flimsy your plant won't grow anything big on it. I believe it knows...

    Guess my yield! How much can I expect!

    That's very good for a first grow. They are not bad lights, I have seen much worth. I am sure we can get more from them, just need more experience. I am growing in summer when it is very hot so I have had +30C-35C in my cabinet with lights on. I will try to start another grow in 4-5 months...

    Growing in milk crates?

    Get a fabric shopping bag if you do not want to spend much on pots. They are strong and cheap. If you need a small one those in liquor shops for two wine bottles are quite small.

    Guess my yield! How much can I expect!

    I guess you have very little experience like me if you are asking that question. I would expect anywhere from 1 to 3 oz per plant, most likely 1. In my first grow with 1800W in viparspectra(3x600W) I got only 1 oz per plant. The second one with 3000W(I have added 1200W extra) I am getting from...

    Samsung QB, what colour temperature?

    No, that's the price for the whole light assembled. Two QB 288 LM561C boards on one heatsink with a driver and all wires and hungers. One set is $131.39 USD https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/KingBrite-quantum-board-for-250W-grow_60810864436.html?spm=a2700.7724838.2017115.1.8b424b78u1oaha...

    Samsung QB, what colour temperature?

    Thanks guys. So basically both 3000K and 4000K will work for full cycle. NanoGadet, what a great bud! I have been just offered 3 sets each with two QB288 LM561C boards(250W in total per set) for less than $520 USD and that's including shipping cost from China. That's 750W in total at the...

    Samsung QB, what colour temperature?

    I tried to google what will be a good temperature for these boards to do a full cycle(vegging and flowering) but there are so many different opinions. Some people say 3000K is good for both and other say 4000K is good for both. Can somebody share their knowledge about 3000K, 3500K and 4000K...

    Thicker stem -> bigger yield

    I just want to add that it seems to be called super cropping but some growers who use it just bend stems down and tie them to stay that way without pinching and breaking them. I am sure it also creates thicker stems(probably because a plant tries to overcome a resistance to straighten a stem up)...

    Thicker stem -> bigger yield

    Hi guys, Just noticed while harvesting my last four plants(3 more to go) that the biggest colas were growing on stems that I pinched to get them leveled in SCROG. These stems grew thicker and that's what made them to grow bigger colas. Probably because the plants know that these stems can carry...

    Are purple trichomes common?

    Yes I have. There is a thread opened by me around 7-9 days ago about the same. I believe that why some strains finishing with purple hue all over them. Nothing abnormal imho.

    Airy buds?

    Actually it was not as bad as I thought. With 2L of watering soil stays wet for a bit over a day. The sensors do not seem to reflect it but I could feel it is wet at the top halfway through. I will try to use more water then. BTW, I harvested one plant and even though the buds from it were...

    Airy buds?

    Two other plants that have sensors and received almost the same amount of water also dropping soil moisture and nutrients in soil. The only good thing so far is soil moisture seems to settle on 46-65% and has stopped dropping fast. Lets see how long it will stay in the middle of each of these...

    Airy buds?

    I have just done it. Poured at least 2L in one pot. The moisture jumped to 93% while watering and soil had 900 microsiements EC. Some water run out from a bottom of a pot, a bit from sides. Then 5 minutes later soil moisture is already 50%(water runs down remember and there is nothing at...

    Airy buds?

    I have soil hygrometers which have probes at the bottom. These probes are 12cm deep into 23cm high soil. Water moves down in soil due to gravity so your assumption that I have dry roots at the bottom quite far from truth. it is a bottom layer of soil should have more moisture than the top one...

    Airy buds?

    That may be a reason. Your soil will still dry very fast. Like I said above 60% soil moisture right ater watering drops to 20% and less in 12 hours. Lets say your 4 L brings soil moisture to 70-90% but it should be all gone in less than 24 hours. So you keep your plants thirsty for 2-3 days. I...

    Airy buds?

    How often do you water them? Fabric pots seems to be good for roots but they are awful for keeping soil most and fertilised. I watered mine every 24 hours with about 500-600ml of water in 5 gal pots. It brought soil moisture to 50-60%. It was usually gone in 12-14 hours with soil moisture...

    What strains have buds covered in trichomes?

    Actually it seems I started worrying too early when I wrote the above comment. I have just checked mine that are on 7 week of flowering and I can see that buds and sugar leaves are much more frosty and become stickier comparing to a week before.
