With winter coming I was hoping to get some advice about heating

Maybe consider getting another little tent and light and running that 2nd set up on an opposite light cycle from your first. Instead of powering a heater, power a light.

Potassium & Molasses; The End Is Near

So what happened? How did your plants from August turn out? Did you learn any cool molasses facts? Or a good molasses use protocol?

Where can I get soil moist outside of the US?

I made that same ONA/Soil Moist air scrubber way back when as I was starting out too. My advice is to just buy a real inline fan and a real carbon filter. You're in Asia, they come from Asia. If you keep up with this hobby, you'll buy them soon anyway. And the fan/filter combo work way, way...

    Issues with batmix

If you're not into hauling around bags of dirty stuff and brewing up buckets of slop there are also lots of bottled products like "Grower's Recharge" or "Tribus" or "Plant Success: Orca" that you just mix with water and use right away. Or dry stuff you just sprinkle on top of your soil and...

Spinosad shelf life when concentrate mixed with water

First you hate the smell. Then you get used to it. Then you Need it.

    Issues with batmix

Do you have any EWC or compost or any source of microbes? Sometimes soil fresh out of the bag is lacking microbes, and a top dress or tea of EWC/Compost can get the bacteria and fungus kicking, to balance things out for your plant.

Using coco for full or at least semi organic automated grow

Man... we're kinda getting into to a big topic that I'm not exactly an expert in. Some coco guys grow in straight coco, fertilizing every watering, almost like a hydro style. Adding organics amendments to the straight coco is still sort of a "new" style. A few guys have been doing it and...

    Topping

Well, yeah. That's the issue. That's why you asked the question. If you knew that the next two branches would spit out the new growth you would have just gone ahead and topped it.

    Topping

Just top that upper most node like normal. The new growth will come from those little tufts next to the stem, at the base of the petioles on your next set of leaves. The nodes are alternating, but they're pretty close together, so you should be cool.

    A lil recipe I am doing/working on

I don't want to put words in dude's mouth, but I'm not sure if he's still around here or not. The GreenGro Bloom and the Terp Tea Bloom have slighly different ingredients. GreenGro has some non soluble ingredients like Rock Dust and BioChar that will build up and help improve your soil, in...

    Compost Tea recipes.

You need a microbe source. Compost, or earth worm castings. Or Forest litter. Or even root balls from your outside garden. Whatever is around. Combinations are cool. 1 or 2 cups per 5 gallons of water. You might need microbe food. Sugar like molasses, fish, soy or kelp hydrolysate, aloe...

GS Plants - "Fish & Kelp" liquid fert

Follow your plants. If they are super green and well fed, just use a little. Like if your soil is hot, or you're doing top dresses or something. If they look a little hungry, take advantage of the NPK and use a little more.

GS Plants - "Fish & Kelp" liquid fert

I'm glad you were able to get something useful out of those ramblings. I guess I read your first post wrong. You said Tablespoons not Teaspoons. I see the bigger dose (tbs not tsp) recommended pretty often. If you're not burning things up, I guess it's OK.

GS Plants - "Fish & Kelp" liquid fert

The last thing I'm trying to get my head around is the Bio Stimulant effect of fish hydrolysate. The way I understand it, the nitrogen in the fish fertilizer is in the form of amino acids. These amino acids are easily absorbable by plants. In the root zone these amino acids "grab" less mobile...

GS Plants - "Fish & Kelp" liquid fert

Some experiences I had with Fish and Kelp. I added Fulvic Acid to fish and kelp fertilizer and bubbled it for awhile, thinking maybe I could increase absorption or something. It made the fish guts come out of suspension and form into gross brown globs floating in my bucket. I decided not to do...

    Basement Growing

Have you heard of "Basement Encapsulation" where they hang plastic on the walls and floors to seal out water and prevent mold? You might think abut getting some rolled up plastic sheeting from Home Depot or some shit and encapsulating a corner of your basement for your grow area. Maybe you...

GS Plants - "Fish & Kelp" liquid fert

I like fish and kelp, only I use Neptune's Harvest too. Anyway, fish and kelp hydrolysate is good. It's got NPK and micronutrients of course. But also enzymes and amino acids that help your plants take up those nutrients. Plus help to break down and take up nutrients from other amendments in...

    IPM

Anyway, I never tried it on spider mites. But I did have thrips. They were a gross pain in the ass, but they didn't seem able to kill my plants, so I was like "Fuck It, I've got thrips now." Unrelated to the thrips, I starting using more compost tea, malted barely and fulvic/humic acid to try...

    IPM

Dude, yeah, I think the malted barley with the frass would be really good. I think you're on the right track, like combining them would lead to a better response. Malted barley seems to help plants uptake more of whatever else you use it with. Whether it's the enzymes in the barely, or the...
