Good tip especially for soil. I'm in coco & fabric pots - watering 2x daily each plant takes up between a litre and 2L a day in total. Varies between plants and is affected greatly by fans / temps, as would be expected. Sometimes I water more to get run off, but it's a bloody pain with my...
More light often means more growth, there is a direct relationship - up until a point.
If it's for veg maybe get a MH light, will help keep the node spacing tighter and make bushier plants.
Day 55 and here's the latest shot of that plant from today... lots of browing happening on these new pistils.
I think the critical Jack is a bit closer by the look of it... Trichomes are cloudy / white, cannot see any amber yet.
This ^^.
Don't be afraid to ask, and even if you are shot down it doesn't always mean it's a bad idea.
Advancement is achieved by not sticking to the known universe.
You're welcome.
I think you're gunna need something bigger soon lighting wise, depends on the size of your space, your budget, available time and earthy location as to what to get. More details are required please :-)
Check out quantum boards...
It's pretty strain dependent the ideal flowering time.
Someone suggested to me that you reduce from veg lights slowly until the plant starts flowering. That tells you the minimum darkness (which is what is actually used by the plant - not the daylight length) required for flowering.
Yeah there was someone on here who does exactly that. Instead of LST they called it zero stress training. I cant remember the post or user so I can't give credit.
The concept is that you tip the plant over to make it grow at 90° to the pot, then later you switch it round and all the side shoots...
They don't look bad. as Merlin says they're doing some root stuff, that's just as important as foliage - if not more so. Photosynthesis doesn't work without water no matter how many leaves.
I often wish they would grow faster too :-) Damnit it's been 10 minutes and I can't see a change...
I recon they're ok 88° ain't gunna mash em, they maybe slightly slower to grow but shouldn't kill them.
My outdoor seedlings are happy. It's 95°F here today and was 98°F yesterday.
Do you have a dimmable ballast for your HPS? You can always turn it down if so, young plants shouldn't need 1000W...
Easy for beginners is good, I will check it out.
It's so hot in there tonight I've had to turn the 600W down to 400 to keep things even close to 26°C. It was over 30 at 600W. Curse this heat!
It's hard to remember the no-pain-no-gain adage when you're dealing with plants. I'm gunna give it a practice in a few weeks with the outdoor ones I have going on. Somehow I feel less attached to Bilbo and Frodo Bagseed (yeah - I decided to call them that).
Thanks for the tip, makes sense. If...
Day 53... things are doing better now; one of the critical kali mist is browning a bit still (did not get photo stupidly). I’m going to cut nutes for that now for sure!
Hahah That is a massive relief, I was worrying I would have to move house to get more space!
It makes sense for me to start with a single 135W then it's super modular whenever I get extra $ I can add another, Eventually I guess I'd want 4 for the space I have - which is 4' x 4'.
How long...
